 Congrats on your new babies! I got PPP post-partum and
 used a topical lotion to relieve the itching. It wasn't
 a problem for breastfeeding. I also started using my
 prescription allergy meds (Flonase) post-partum, again
 no issues. But you should probably not take my advice
 in lieu of your pediatrician's! Still, I imagine it's
 fine.

 We were also worried about our large concrete hearth so
 we installed one of those white plastic gates all the
 way around it. We can still use the fireplace and the
 babies are protected from the soot and fire as well as
 hitting their heads on the hearth.
