1. Child Proofing Tips??
--------------------------------------------------------
ThePancy - 10/24/2011 9:27 pm
Hi,We are wondering if anyone can share advice about
childproofing? Our neighbor spent over $1,000 child
proofing their condo by hiring a professional off of
craigslist. It seems like we could do it for a lot
less but perhaps we wouldn't be as thorough.Wondering
if most folks do it themselves and if other parents
just use common sense or are there other resources that
you would recommend?Many thanks,Paul & Nancy

We hired Childproofer.com and he charged us $80 to
childproof our home but that was 6 years ago. I just
can't imagine prices going up too
much.http://childprooferstore.com/ From:

We used the Childproofer, too. We paid him a small fee
to come out and do an assessment. At that point you can
then hire him to do the work, buy the materials from
him and do the work yourself or buy the materials and
do the work yourself. We had him do the work and it got
done faster and with greater skill than I ever could
have done it. He also recommended doing less than I had
thought we needed. He's a twin dad,
too!http://childprooferstore.com/inse.html

also Safety Nook.Childproofer is less expensive -
$85/hr plus $25 consultation, one hour minimum, works
very fast.Alex @ safety nook $140 per hour.

others have said about the seminar: "The seminar was
fantastic. I think the knowledge you have of the area -
notjust real estate, the folks that you brought in to
talk about schools, mortgages, were all very
complimentary. I think we knew what cities wewanted to
focus on, we knew the schools were great, but it
provided moreinformation to confirm what we knew and
also allowed us to expand a bit more(and eliminate
areas). What a great service you provided."-Kristin
Nichols "I found this seminar to be hugely informative
on both Marin(prices/location/weather) and school
districts. I highly recommend attendingthis seminar!" -
Jennifer Marples "Informative, well worth your time,
Fabulous, so glad I went, my friendsshould attend the
next one!" C. Pierce ."My husband and I attended Liz's
seminar and found her to be bright, engaging, friendly
and extremely personable. She is knowledgeable about
allof Marin and was able to give practical information
on everything fromcommute times, weather nuances, and
school districts to downtown ambiances. If you are
someone wanting to learn more about Marin, Liz is very
wellsuited to help you."-Maria ArietaLiz McCarthy, PMN,

I have this one - the SkipHop duo Deluxe and love it!
http://www.rightstart.com/skip-hop-duo-deluxe-black.html
It's a great size to hang from your stroller and not
too big to wear over your shoulder. It holds plenty
for two.

We LOVED LOVED ours. It was a big BabyBjorn backpack
with a bottle compartment on both sides. Perfect for
twins. I think backpacks are the way to go since you
always need hands free with twins!!I don't know if
babyBjorn still sells these though. Ours last 6 years.
We had to get rid of it finally this year. We still
used it after potty training because of the two bottle
compartments.Good luck!Susan--- On Mon, 10/24/11,
