Dear friends, If you aren't aware of my story, I just
wanted to tell you that I deliveredextremely premature
(micro preemie) twins at 26 weeks gestation and
thenlost one of my twins.that was the day my life
changed forever. I have gotten involved with Nick Hall,
who also lost a twin as I did and hiswonderful
non-profit named after the twin he lost: Graham.
Graham's Foundation delivers NICU care packages to
families who arecurrently experiencing the stress of
delivering a micro preemie baby. Thesecare packages
will be for our very own Bay Area Hospital NICU's, like
CPMC ,UCSF, Alta Bates and more.I'm hoping you can join
me (I am the local sponsor for this event) in
SanFrancisco on October 27th!If you might be interested
in helping our or donating to the silent auctionfor the
event, please let me know also!More info about the
     event:Every year 50,000 extremely premature babies -
those weighing less than 3pounds and delivered at less
than 29 weeks gestation - are born in theUnited States,
and rates of prematurity are going up each year. The
earliestnewborns to survive often require intensive
care for months and undergocountless medical
procedures. Parents of these babies frequently
feelisolated from friends and family due to the serious
risk to their babies'health, and this experience is
unlike any they expected with the birth oftheir
child.Jennifer and Nick Hall understand the joys and
the heartaches that are apart of the parenting journey
that comes with extreme prematurity - theirson, Graham,
and daughter, Reece, were born at 25 weeks gestation.
Grahamwas with them for just 45 days, while Reece spent
four long months in thehospital before coming home. It
was their experiences that inspired them tocreate
Graham's Foundation .You are cordially invited to San
     Francisco's inaugural Micro-Tinis forMicro-Preemies
fund-raiser, an evening filled with inspiring
stories, endless martinis and tasty treats, all to help

Be sure to check out Marin Country Day School and Mt
Tamalpais School over in Marin. Both have busses to the
city. MCDS has a mandate to have a certain % of city
kids in each class. I'm an alum of MTS and a current
board member and have heard from the director that they
are actively recruiting more city kids.

My top choices were Holy Name and St. Brigid. We chose
St Brigid, but there is only one class for all grades.
Holy Name I believe has more than one class. Our kids
love it there. I've heard Notre Dame is very good, but
very hard to get into. Congrats and hope you find
something that fits your family!Susan--- On Thu,

interested in co-ed schools that have at least two
classes per grade (especially lower grades) Before I
reinvent the wheel, has anyone already done this
research? If so, is it in a format you can easily
sent to me? I'm working on arranging tours, and realize
that most of the parochial schools on my list are too
          small. Add your comments online:

I had 32 wk preemies, and nipple shields were great.
Help is essential, but you can definitely manage on
your own. I managed to do some breastfeeding for six
months, but was always supplementing as my body just
didn't make enough. I tried lots of different things
to up my supply including the truly endless cycle of
feeding and pumping, but in the end I think it was all
too much stress for my body and mind. I wanted to
offer that if after you try everything you can to keep
your little boys with mamas milk for as long as
possible, it just doesn't seem to work out, you're not
alone. I felt so horrible about not being able to give
them breast milk exclusively and went through many hard
days beating myself up over it, but in the end I still
have two very healthy boys and am happy I live in a
time/place where formula is an option when all else
fails - sure beats the alternative!Hang in
          there,Kristen

I saw Dr. Moy at Pacific Women's OBGYN and love her.
SHe is a mother of 7 or 8 year old b/g twins and from
day one she was absolutely fine with the idea of
vaginal delivery. Her only caveat was that I had to
have an epidural in case a c-section was suddenly
necessary. In the end, both babies were head down and
were delivered vaginally. Dr. Moy was not on call the
day my kids were born, but she made sure that she was
contacted when I went to CPMC with labor pains and she
made sure to be the Doctor to deliver. Dr. Moy is
whip-smart, takes her time during appointments, and has
had several good twin tips for me since the kids were
just born. I highly recommend her.
