1. Free - 2 girl toddler beds

We just moved to big girl beds and have two white Jenny
Lind cribs from Land of Nod with the toddler bed
conversion kit that we would be happy to pass along to
another family to use as toddler beds. Here is a pic
 of the crib:
 http://www.landofnod.com/baby-crib-bedding/kids-bedding/puzzle-patch-crib-bedding/f2254.
(In their crib mode, they are drop-side, which is no
longer sold for safety reasons, so that is why we would
like to pass them on as toddler beds.) They are in
good condition, although there are some paint chips
here and there. We have all the necessary parts for
assembly. Ideally, they would be picked up at our
house in Cole Valley in the next few days before the
big girl beds arrive. We hope they can find a good
 home!

daisymay94596 - 9/28/2011 8:38 am

Hi,I have been researching convertible car seats. We
have narrowed the choices down considerable... Not
sure which one to buy.Recaro ProRideBritax
MarathonAnyone have experience with them? Which is
easy to install? Which provides the most comfort for
your child? Which fits best in your car? We have a
bmw 3 series wagon-- so the backseat is very
 tight.Thanks,Wendy

There are events to learn more about the process at
libraries around the city this fall. Call 861-7077 to
learn about one near you. The first one coming up is
Oct 5 at Bernal Heights Branch. The Richmond branch is
on Nov 10.My kid's school had someone from Parents for
Public Schools in to speak a couple of weeks ago. Here
is some of what I learned - as they differ from last
year's lottery:1. The process was a mess for
twins/multiples last year, so the city has promised to
determine a way to run them together. This was not
done last year and many multiples were separated in the
first round. As this process has not been finalized,
I'm not holding my breath that it was happen. If it
does, her advice it to fill out the forms identically-
except of course the child's first name.2. Unlike last
year, parents can put down as many schools at they
like.3. Her advice is to have a back-up plan
(independent school, moving out of city, pre-K, home
schooling, etc.) We had one last year and had to use
it. My kids are in pre-K this year (which has
fortunately worked out great.)Good luck to
everyone!Trish----- Original Message ----- From: "Ranu

All- I have not been here for a while- but I understand
there has been lots of conversation about SFUSD system
and multiples- in terms of the issue of getting your
kids into one kindergarten- into the same public
school....I am facing this with triplets- we will be
going to K in 2012 fall- and so getting ready to go
into the application process. I am wondering where on
this list I can find the conversations about this- we
are of course worried by the fact that our kids may not
get into the same school- and wanted to hear some
thoughts from other parents of multiples....Thanks for
any guidance here - if nothing else how to search for
the threads on this list...Ranu MukherjeeSimone, Sunil
