2012, 1:53 PMHi everyone,I was asked if I could send
out an email to the Kindergarten class. Please see
below:After the Yard Sale we ended up with a few great
items for new parents that we are still holding at
school and that we are still trying to sell. We thought
these could be a bargain for a family of Kinder or 1st
Grade. Could you please pass a note to them since these
are not the usual items you would expect in a Yard
Sale? We have: . A Baby Jogger Runner, in great shape,
blue marine w big wheels. . A MacLaren double stroller
red w a white line . A Regalo porta crib, blue marine .
A Peg Perego Prima Pappa High Chair, dark blue and
white Make us an offer Best, Cinta Telfer (Room Parent
7G) Hello Room Parents, Could you please send a note to
your class asking them to consider buying tickets for
the Dinner and Play that the 7G kids will be putting
together on May 4th and 5th. The kids themselves with
the help of a theater consultant have created and
crafted the story, it should be a lot of fun. We, the
parents of 7G, are working on the event so that the
proceeds could go to pay for activities for the 8G
graduation. Forms have gone out in the Wednesday
Folders. Please come and be part of the school spirit.
Best regards, Cinta Telfer and Jenni Goliman (7G Room
 Parents)

I opened the Classifieds, please move it there. The
rules are - items for sale don't go on General
Discussion forum. Sorry. I'll have to delete tomorrow.

Can anyone recommend a good book or cookbook that really
 dives into a practical approach...

I think a lot of people like Child of Mine. We have it
but I haven't read it. My advice from our experience
is:1. They may still drink a ton of formula/milk for a
while. It was only once our boys past about age 2.5
that we started buying less than 3.5 gallons of milk a
week for them. Yes, 3.5 gallons, just for them. It was
hilarious to see my shopping cart at the store. Not
sure how normal this is, but our kids are/were growing
just fine with no noted nutritional issues. They were
eating small amounts of a wide variety of food but
still had 3 - 4 full bottles of milk each day.2. I was
inspired ages ago (when our boys were only 6 months) by
someone who posted and said "our kids were on table
food by 10 months" - that family had only fed their
kids a chopped up version of what they were eating, no
special kid meals. I LOVED that idea and went for it
with our family and it worked. I do believe that if
kids are truly hungry they will eat (just like
adults). They might eat a really light meal or skip a
meal or two if they don't love what you're
serving...but eventually they will eat. It has made
our life really simple and our kids eat pretty much
everything. Then as long as you're eating a healthy,
balanced diet, they should be all set.

 This isn't a book, but a service: yapitayum.com. I've
been buying their food for my twins and it makes like
so much easier. I'm not in the kitchen all the time
making purees. Kelly when six weeks ago, she could
only say ABCD. It's been really good for us. Email me
at jacquibos at gmail.com if you want to talk more.

I opened the Classifieds since it's almost May and we
are having a flood of "for sale" posts on the General
Discussion forum. Hope that's ok with the Board. Please
move the posts with items for sale to the Classifieds.
 Thank you for understanding.
