My 2 year old got hold of the Desitin and
finger-painted my glider with it. I've washed it with
soap and water but no luck getting it out. Anyone have
 any suggestions?Thanks!Beth

I wanted to see if there is anyone who has experience
with the Child Development Center (or any other center)
and would be willing to talk to me and provide
feedback.I have completed the questionnaire and all the
paperwork and I am getting ready to schedule an
appointment. The areas of concern are occupational,
sensory and social. I want to see if there are
evaluators that people have had good experiences with
and any tips regarding navigating this process. I
looked through the archives, but didn't find much. I
would really appreciate any resources or guidance.I can
 also be reached at (415) 425-7132.Thank you,Marjorie

Topic: Need advice: medical hardship was denied again with
SFUSD

Right now we don't have any assigned schools. What should we
 do next? We didn't register...

As a teacher in the district at a desirable school, I
have heard that being a squeaky wheel is the best
thing. Show up at 555 Franklin everyday to talk to the
placement counselor. The majority of the time it has
worked out for families (eventually), even if it means
not starting off at your top choice on day one of
 school.

There was a message on the Parents for Public Schools
list that there was a waitpool run done on August 6 and
they were able to offer 250+ students with new
assignments, of those 180 were for Kindergarten.
They'll do another run on August 27. I would check in
 with the Placement Center asap.
