Beloved Nanny Seeking Family with Infant Twins or
Triplets My name is: Bridget SchickedanzMy phone number
is: 415-567-0360My email address is:
bbartlett19702901 at yahoo.com My caregiver's name is:
Luci PolliMy caregiver's contact information is:
lulollipolli at yahoo.com or 415-640-0523 Time employed
for our family: 5 yearsLocations she is interested
working: Marina/Cow Hollow/Pacific Heights Type of
employment she is seeking: FT long term employment/
Twins or triplets - 3 months of age of younger As our
twin girls head off to kindergarten, Luci Polli is
looking for a new family of infant twins or triplets to
care for beginning this September. Luci has 15 years of
experience as a nanny in San Francisco. She seeks a
family that needs 45 hours a week whose children are 3
months old or younger living in the Marina/Cow
Hollow/Pacific Heights neighborhoods. Throughout Luci's
5 years with us, people have stopped us on the street
to tell us how wonderful she is with our girls. She has
loved them, read to them, played with them, taken them
to classes and on outings, prepared wonderful meals for
them, started play groups for them and helped develop
them into playful, polite, outgoing, bright, generous,
bi-lingual little girls. She was a knowledgeable and
supportive partner through all the major milestones
(solid foods, sleep training, potty training,
pre-school) and her reliability and confidence allowed
my husband and I to live our dual career lives without
worry. She has been a blessing in our lives and her
legacy will live in the hearts of our little girls who
love her so dearly. If you are interested in speaking
to Luci about an opportunity, please contact her at
lulollipolli at yahoo.com or 415-640-0523.

Does anyone take their kids to the pediatrician Dr.
Noah Simons or to any of the doctors at SF Bay Peds?
If so, what are you thoughts either one? Thanks!

We go to SF Bay Pediatrics and see Dr. Gin, who we like
very much. Most of the other doctors at the practice
are good, though we definitely prefer some to others.
I've always found it easy to make an appointment, and
we hardly ever sit in the waiting room for more than a
minute or two before our room is ready. They have a
terrible, tiny parking lot, but you kind of get used to
it. Do you have any specific questions?

Alyce des Rosiers, who spoke to our group sometime in
the last couple of years, has her own company that does
that -- try Googling her name... She also has a
fantastic book out on how to do it yourself that we've
relied on heavily each time we searched -- "Nannies for
Modern Moms" -- it was a HUGE time- and sanity-saver
for us! Easy/quick to read, and full of practical info
and sample forms and questionaires (i.e., nanny
interview Qs, reference check Qs, etc.) Using that
book helped us craft a really strong job description
that we ultimately used on Craig's List and found lots
of good candidates. But I'm sure she's really good at
the consulting end, too. Good luck!

Alyce is amazing, i recommend her highly. her services
are not cheap but worth every penny, and she guarantees
her work. its a flat rate so even if you burn through
20 different candidates over the course of several
weeks or months (as we did, we were very picky), its
still just one price. she does not stop working until
you find your dream nanny! the nanny she connected us
with has worked out tremendously and is still with us
more than a year later...

When my twins were very little, I put one in a baby
bjorn active and the other in a sling. It worked
wonderfully, especially for navigating the bus (where
you can't have strollers). It really helped me feel to
sane to be able to go out and just browse in a store or
go to a coffee shop. I think if I'd been walking very
far I would have considered the bjorn/single stroller
option, but for light walking and/or taking the bus, it
was perfect.

Kaluzoo - Which double side-by-side bassinet stroller
did you use, and how young were your twins? Thank you!

I did walks with my girls from a very young age in a
double City Mini, with the seats all the way reclined
and summer infant body positioners. I think they were 3
or 4 weeks when I started doing that. I found the City
Mini much easier to navigate than the snap-n-go when
walking from home. I gave up on baby wearing due to
having a c-section and just not wanting to deal with
the back strain.
