Celebrate Mission Playground's Grand Reopening on September 15

Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 10:30 a.m.
Special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11 a.m.
Join Supervisors Scott Wiener and David Campos, San Francisco Recreation and Park
Department General Manager Phil Ginsburg, the City Fields Foundation, neighbors 
and park advocates for the grand reopening ceremony of Mission Playground. The event
will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, music, food trucks, an outdoor picnic and
fun games for children and families.
The newly renovated Mission Playground includes two children's play areas, a clubhouse
for SF Rec and Park's Inclusion Center, and athletic fields funded by the City Fields
Foundation.  The overall Mission Playground renovation is funded by the 2008 Clean
and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond.
American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.  If you would like to request

72 hours prior to an event will help ensure availability.

Take a Tour of Historic Candlestick Park!

Sports fans, take advantage of a unique opportunity beginning this fall. Sign up
 for an hour-long tour of the one and only Candlestick Park Stadium, home of the
 five-time world champion San Francisco 49ers and former home to the San Francisco
Giants. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the team locker rooms, take in the view 
from the luxury suites, and run on the field and reenact "The Catch," the famous
 Joe Montana-to-Dwight Clark play that launched the 49ers into their first Super
 Bowl.

Tours are available Monday through Friday, at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and on Saturdays
at 11 a.m. Times and dates are subject to change due to field preparations during
the football season. (Tours will not be offered two days prior to each home game.)

Prices: $18 for adults; $15 for students, seniors (62+) and military/veterans with
valid ID; and $12 for children ages 4-17. Children under 3 are free.
