My 10 week old guys and I need to get out of the house
for a stroller walk everyday, and the rainy weather is
giving us cabin fever! Anyone know of good spots to go
for a walk indoors (preferably free)? I thought of the
mall :/ and museums, any other good ideas?

 Hi,

Wanted to know if I needed to prepare a birth plan even

You definitely don't need a birth plan, but it's
helpful to think about how you want things to be in
general. Do you want your husband/partner to stay with
you while you're getting stitched up or to go with the
babies to the nursery while they're getting cleaned up
and evaluated? I had my husband stay with me and had
my sister waiting outside the OR to go with the babies
and advocate for me so we were all reunited ASAP. I
knew my sister would keep a close eye on things and
would speak up if she thought things were taking too
 long (she's a lawyer...and she's had 2 c-sections
herself!). You'll want to think about who can visit and
when, and what kind of support you want around
breastfeeding if you decide to do that. I said no
visitors until first attempt at breastfeeding was done
and asked for help in keeping visits to 15 minutes. I
have a document that I drafted if you'd like me to
email it to you...I went over it and clarified my
preferences with my OB in our regular appointment
before the surgery and she stuck to it as much as she
could. I didn't bring it with me on the big day
because I didn't want the nurses to think I was
 obnoxious, though...

Definitely think about whether you want your partner to
follow the babies to the nursery or stay with you,
because getting stitched up takes a surprisingly long
time. Also, does your partner want to cut the cord? Are
you planning to breast feed? That's the most important
 stuff.
