The bikes are in great condition (almost new!) as
they've spent most of the time hung up in the garage
instead of being ridden!Would make a great holiday
gift. I have a picture if you want to see it. The body
of the bike is mainly black with some red.Cash only
please. We live near CPMC on California St.

2. Invitation & RSVP: Mom's Night Out (MNO)
--------------------------------------------------------
sfsharona - 12/5/2012 7:00 pm

Happy Holidays! The next MNO event will be held at my
home. In honor of the holidays, we're having a holiday
cookie/sweet/recipe swap. Wine and appetizers will
also be provided. How does this work you ask? Please
bring 2 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies or
sweets to share. In addition, bring copies of the
recipe so others can take a copy if they'd like. Bring
an empty container so you have something to take home
new cookies/treats in. We'll all get to sample some
yummy treats and go home with a variety of goodies! If
you just don't have time to bake, prepare the dough and
we can either bake it my oven (bring cookie sheets) or
send people home with the dough to bake in their own
ovens! RSVP: Please by 12/2/12.PS: My twins will be
sleeping so when you arrive, please don't ring the
doorbell - just come in the main door downstairs and
knock when you get to apt 4. Many thanks!!I look
forward to seeing all Mommies!Event Details &

Any recommendations on a nanny cam or any other type of
camera to see the babies while at work with an app in
your iPhone? Going back to work in a few weeks and want
 to get something beforehand. Thanks!

5. TTTS affects 1 in 5 identical twin pregnancies
--------------------------------------------------------
nodelmonkey - 12/5/2012 2:39 pm

Dear fellow parents of multiples - I just received this
video from a fellow mom of TTTS survivors and wanted to
share with you in case you know of any moms-to-be of
multiples. Many of you know of this condition (perhaps
through mama friends who suffered through it or as a
risk during your own pregnancy) but so many moms who
have babies with it don't know until it's too late. I
can't believe TTTS affects 1 in 5 identical twins and
double the number of babies affected by SIDS. Please
pass the word on to anyone you know who might be
pregnant with mono-di twin babies. (the video is very
dry but has a lot of good facts and tips for things to
watch out for at ultrasounds if you are expecting
mono-di twins). If you know of anyone with this
condition, I am happy to pass along details for a
phenomenal doctor in LA who performed laser surgery on
me and my girls at 18 weeks. Dr Ramen Chmait
specializes in fetal treatment and surgery and his TTTS
success rates are among the highest in the country.

Thanks Heather for sharing. Very important info. I am
also part of TTTS survivors support group, if anyone is
interested I can provide the pointers.I had major
complications related to TTTS, also had laser and than
very unusual reverse TTTS. UCSF fetal treatment center
was critical to the survival of my girls. AleksOn Dec

get me wrong,
I also got down on the floor and read to them and cooed
with them and made faces, etc. but after awhile, I just
*had* to check the news!)They play so well
independently and with each other now and have since an
early age (like 6 months) and I think it was because
they would have these periods where I was not giving
them full on attention so they figured out how to
entertain themselves. I would let it go and sweat the
big stuff like safety, getting them fed healthy meals,
 etc.

From all the responses and separate e-mails that I got
(thank you everyone), it seems like most nannies do
cook for the babies. We actually did not talk about
this specifically in the beginning (my mistake). My
husband thinks I have not really ever given her a
chance since I just make the food and leave it for her
in the fridge to feed the babies everyday, so maybe she
assumes I want to do it myself. I am going to talk to
her about this and see how she feels about doing some
cooking. I wanted to make sure it's okay to ask her to
cook given that she takes care of two babies! Although
they do take 2 naps (both at home in their cribs).

Karu--I actually posted awhile back on this topic bcs I
was pissed my nanny was only feeding them "fresh baby
bites" and plum organics packets. I thought it was bcs
she is vegetarian so I told her if she wanted to pick
up tofu or something and make that, I was fine with
that. Her reply was "no I don't like to cook bcs I
don't like clean up!" I was sooooo fired up. Then I
realized that I really like her to play and engage with
the kids and love them and we would figure out food
options together. My nanny does not "cook" but she
microwaves frozen veges, chicken tenders, shrimp and
fish sticks and assembles PBJ and cuts up fruits and
avocado, etc. It has taken some flexibility on my end
but my boys love her and she loves them and that is
what is important. So just in case your nanny does not
give you the reply you wanted to hear, think of me! :-)
