1. Sleep Easy Solution, night weaning, still crying!

We used the sleep easy solution on my toddler whense
was 3.5 months and it worked great. We used it on my 5
month old twins when they were 4 months old. They fall
asleep great. But we just night weaned their 3 am
feeding about two weeks ago an I don't feel like it is
going that well. One baby, Sasha, sleeps pretty well
through the night. Surprisingly she is the much smaller
baby (by about 4 lbs). But she is more mobile and can
turn on her side and sick her thumb to soothe herself.
Audrey seems to be having a much harder time. She still
wake up most nights and cries in the middle. A good
night is if she only cries for 5 minutes. Tonight is a
bad night. It has already been an hour and a half. This
is fairly common. She ends up waking Sasha too if she
goes on too long. Then it is just bak an forth settling
an waking each other.I do check ins if there is
cotinuous crying for about 15 minutes. But mostly I
watch the monitor. I just don't feel like she is
getting it. She does this during naps too. She wake up
half way through and routinely cries for 20 minutes in
the middle. All on all she seems no worse for the wear.
She is happy in the morning and after naps. But this is
just really frustrating. It wakes the whole house!I
don't think she is hungry. Both babies have
successfully replaced all the calories from the night
bottles by increasing their daytime bottles. She just
can't get herself back to sleep well! The only thing I.
An think of is that we generally have a mobile playing
when she goes to bed. It is no longer on in the middle
of the night. I could stop using it at bedtime. But not
sure that will really make a difference. Anyone dealt
with this? Just frustrated mostly.

Is it possible she's teething? My twins started waking
around that age (after sleeping through the night from
around 3.5 months) and it turned out they were cutting
their first teeth (btw, I now swear by the Boiron
homeopathic teething drops). Another thought given the
recent FREEZING temperatures - is it possible she's
getting cold? We discovered our nursery got really
cold around 3am each night.

Are you feeding them on the same schedule? That was
the key for me, though even then it took me a few
months to get them synced on naps. I ultimately
implemented a policy of "one down, other goes in front
carrier." Both my boys are absolutely unable to stay
awake in the front carrier, so that worked after a few
weeks of carrying one through naptime. Mine still nap
better in their stroller than their cribs - with the
exception of their morning nap - so I'm not a good
source of advice there.
