You've probably already thought this through and
rejected it, but when my babies were still nursing and
I had to go away for 4 days, I ended up bringing them
and the nanny with me. That way I could nurse them
morning and night just like usual and didn't have to
worry about the extra pumping. There was no way I could
have built up a supply like that.If you do pump while
you're away, you'll need a big cooler with lots of ice
packs, and they should let you take it on the plane.
Some TSA people are more clueless than others, and they
may want to test your milk, but you are allowed to
carry it on with you.If you work so hard to build up
that kind of supply before you go, it would be a SHAME
to throw away milk while you're gone!!!When my friend
moved here from Boston when her first baby was about 4
months old, she shipped a box of milk on dry ice to me
to hold in the freezer for her. So that's an option,
 too.

Try to borrow both if you can so you can see what
works. My older daughter loved the swing and not the
bouncy but my twins don't really love either. We use
the bouncy seats more though because they are more
portable. We have multiples of each to use indifferent
locations. We like the kinds with vibrations. If you
can borrow, do that. These are short lived items.

We had this one (can serve as both swing and bouncy) as
we were in a tiny NY apartment when the twins were
born. It worked well for us in the beginning. We ended
up getting another bouncy and another swing later

I agree it will probably result in some crying. Mine
are 5.5 months and we got them on a feeding and eating
schedule at 3 months. At first it was a 3 hour feeding
schedule but now it is a 4 hour feeding schedule. I try
line up their naps so they wake up right before their
scheduled feed. I find that easier than having them go
down rift after a feed. My babies take 3 naps per day.
The firat two are roughly 2 hours each and the third is
about 30 minutes. The only way this is possible is
because we sleep trained. I ha e no idea to do it
without sleep training. They used to wake up after one
sleep cycle (for them about 30 minutes). However, I
found that if they get back to sleep after that first
wake up, they sleep pretty well. Even when we were not
doing CIO, I would go in and rock that baby back to
sleep if she woke after 30 min. Tey still routinely
wake in the middle of their naps. Usually it is the
same baby that wakes. I ignore her and she almost
always falls back asleep. She is happy when she wakes
at the end of the nap so I do not think she is any
worse for the wear. The one who always wakes seems to
have less of a need to sleep so occasionally we put her
down 15 minutes later than her sister. I also routinely
wake the babie up. I do not let one sleep more than 15
minutes past when the other wakes. Their are only
capable of staying awake around 2 hours, so if I
control wen they wake up, they should fall asleep
around the same time. Once you force it for a few days
they start to follow the pattern naturally.
