I want to sleep train my twins in a month or so, but am
worried they will keep each other up when I do CIO
since they share a room. What is your experience with
this method when babies share a room? Can it work?
 Thanks!

Keeping them in the same room was recommended to us by
Noelle at Symbio so that they can get used to each
other from the start. We did separate them for the
first few nights since we anticipated our daughter
being kept up by her brother. Our son cried for 55
minutes the first night while our daughter cried for 20
minutes. We kept him in the crib and her in the pack
n' play in the living room, but would transfer her to
the crib after they were both asleep. We did this for
a few nights until they were going down more easily and
then we put both in their cribs in the same room. It
worked well for us, although I think it's not a bad
idea to keep them together from the beginning, but I
think it depends on your kids' personalities etc. Now
they can sleep through each other's screaming/crying
etc pretty much most of the time.......

Still in the process. We started sleep training my twins
at about 4 months. To my surprise they actually fell
asleep really easily. The night wakings were the issue.
They have each had their turn of crying for an hour or
so in the middle of the night. I have found that they
generally do not wake each other up unless one is going
on for a really long time. But when one wakes up and
cries for maybe 10 minutes, the other sleeps right
through. We have had only a handful of times when one
wakes the other and they both cry for an extended
period. Fingers crossed! We started weaning off the 3 am
feeding about 2 weeks into the sleep training. It took
a couple weeks more of occasional night wakings at that
time, but for the past week they seem to be generally
sleeping through that time.I'll say that sleep training
the twins has been more difficult and a longer process
than sleep training my now 2 year old single. I do not
know if it is just their personalities, or if is
because they are in the same room. But it has just been
tougher. Still worth it.They are still crying during
naps a lot. Especially one of them. She just got
through crying for about 25 minutes in this last nap
and finally fell back asleep. So the process is
ongoing!Good luck. We used the Sleep Easy Solution.

4. FREE - two rocking stands for bassinets

I have two rocking stands for bassinets that you can
have for free. They are well loved but work well for
those first three months or so. They have been through
many twins (my sister's twins who are now 7, my twins,
friends' twins) and severals singles as well (including
my older daughter). The moses baskets or bassinets
themselves have seen their last days, but the stands
are still in decent condition. They are a great
convenience for rocking the babies in the bassinets!Let
me know if you want them. I also have lots of bassinet
bedding (little mattress sheets, the bumper in blue and
pink) that you can have if you want.Pick up in the
 Haight. Tentmail me.
