1. Feeding solids question
--------------------------------------------------------
amywink - 12/25/2012 12:01 pm

We have 8 mo twins, and we started solids at 6 mos, no
problems feeding. They breastfed til just last week,
and have gotten formula supplements since about 3 mos
(now exclusively formula). I've been feeding them two
meals a day of solids, but when the nanny is here they
get three. The only real reason they only get two when
the nanny isn't here is because my husband feels like
its too much hassle. In general, he is way more
stressed about parenting than I am, and everything is
very intense for him. The only constant is change, and
it's difficult to keep up. I'm trying to be patient
with this, and I know that whereas with one baby I'd be
an overachiever, being way on top of developmental
milestones, with two I'm probably a few weeks behind
with everything (e.g. pincer grasp started weeks ago,
and I just started putting nibs of food on their trays,
and everything is still pretty puréed, not chunky).
To my question: At what point does eating solids
become less practice and more nutrition? Hubby keeps
saying how they need 32 oz of formula at least each
day, and we sometimes argue about whether to start with
a bottle or solids for a particular meal, I say solids,
he says bottle. They have started waking up at night
now and then, whereas they'd been sleeping thru til 5
or so before, and I'm wondering if we aren't feeding
them as much as we should. Their weights are fine.
There seem to be many different "feeding guide" type
references, so I know there isn't necessarily one right
answer. So far they get cereal and veggies, I'm starting
puréed meat today. Any references, schedules, and
opinions are appreciated! Thanks and Happy Holidays :)

I bought the Foscam and there is an app available that
works great. You can move the camera and pan the room
and there s 2 way audio.
