Incidental medical stuff like ambulance rides; essentially it's a
"please don't sue"; bodily injury covers actual medical issues.

Basically if only RA and I are on the policy, RJ can't file a claim,
but everything in the house is still covered with this particular
insurer.

No; getting a separate quote.  It *does* cover water that gets in
due to covered damage, which would be things like a tree falling on
the house, or the dishwasher breaking.
