1. Double jogging stroller advise?
--------------------------------------------------------
nodelmonkey - 2/28/2012 10:06 pm

I finally started running again post babes (9 mos - not
bad right?!) and am looking for double jogging stroller
advise - I was told Kool-Stride makes an awesome double
jogging stroller but it's very much on the upper end of
the price scale and not sure I want to spend that much
for one. Does anyone have any other recs for a good
sturdy double jogging stroller or ideas where I might
be able to find a secondhand Kool-Stride if that's what
 I end up shopping for?

2. Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training
--------------------------------------------------------
helen_s - 2/28/2012 10:26 am

Blue and I went to the most amazing parent workshop
Sunday in Berkeley. It was on a heavy topic -
preventing child sexual abuse - but we left feeling
very empowered and so much more knowledgeable about
protecting our kids, and all kids in general.Darkness
to Light's Stewards of Children provides training and
information on child sexual abuse prevention to parents
 and youth-serving organizations and professionals.We
learned many things from this training, of course, and
one of them was to encourage other parents to educate
themselves on this topic. We also learned that we
should make sure organizations that serve our kids have
child sexual abuse prevention policies in place. This
group will train parents, nannies, and organizations.
We paid around $20 per person for the workshop
Sunday. Here is the link to the group's website. Feel
free to follow up w/ us w/ any specific questions.Have
 a terrific week!All best, Helen

3. NTR: Do you have earthquake insurance?
--------------------------------------------------------
rockchalk90 - 2/28/2012 10:02 am

Hello, I was just wondering if other homeowners had
earthquake insurance. I just got a disclaimer in the
mail from the state where Allstate buys our earthquake
ins from and they said that in the event of a major
earthquake they may or may not be able to honor our
claims if they don't have the funds - become insolvent.
So basically I am paying for nothing?? Is it really
worth if having earthquake insurance if there is a
chance the state won't have the funds???

4. Seeking Italian Speaking Nanny
--------------------------------------------------------
suzanne659 - 2/28/2012 9:40 am

We've been searching for a while now for an Italian
speaking nanny for our 5 month old twins and not having
any luck. The nanny doesn't need to be Italian, but
she needs to be fluent enough to speak only in Italian
to our boys. We're open to a live-in or live-out
arrangement, but need someone full time. I know this
is a very specific request, but if anyone knows of a
nanny like this whose available, please send her our
 way! Thank you!

Have you tried Care.com? You can put pretty specific
search parameters in the search, or you can post an ad
that clearly outlines your specific needs. We've hired
2 nannies and 5 babysitters over the past 2 years, all
 through care.com. Good luck!
