rusekexpats at yahoo.comMy caregiver's name is: Analaura
MendozaMy caregiver's contact information is:
analau at comcast.netShe/he is looking for: 25-35 hours
per week, flexible Time Employed: 3/2009 - present
(almost 3.5 years)Your child's age: 3.5 year old b/g
twins Does the caregiver drive (yes/no):
YesReferral:Our twins are moving on to preschool and
our wonderful nanny will be available starting in
August. She has over 15 years of experience as a nanny
for twins and has worked for many families in this
club. I am happy to answer any questions and put you
in touch with a terrific nanny! Recommendation letter
for Analaura Mendoza:Three and a half years ago, I was
a first time parent of 5 month old twins and all of my
family lived on the other side of the country. I was
overwhelmed with life at home and was trying to go back
to work part time. Our nanny, Analaura Mendoza came in
to save the day and we're heartbroken that preschool
calls and we're saying goodbye. Analaura has an
extensive career in caring for twins. She is also the
mother of one of the more well-mannered teenagers I
have ever met. My kids love Ana like they love their
grandparents and I have benefited tremendously from her
experience. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity
to get to know Ana's wonderful family and to have had
such a fantastic caretaker for my children. I know we
will always remain friends. When Analaura first started,
she assisted with getting my twins napping in their
cribs on the same schedule. She went on to introducing
solid foods which she made with fresh veggies and froze
extra so that I rarely ever opened a jar of store made
food (organic or not). If I could supply the
containers, they were filled with food, first pureed
and then tiny bites and then slices as the children
progressed. As my children have developed, Analaura
was instrumental in planning activities and
socialization opportunities for my twins by
coordinating play dates with other children and
learning about neighborhood programs. Every morning,
Ana makes a lunch, starts the kids' laundry and
finishes up breakfast and gets the kids ready to go out
for a fun morning out of the house. Two active
toddlers have been no problem for Ana who is very
energetic and active. Ana has also driven the twins to
class activities. While the kids nap, Analaura
finishes the children's laundry, makes their dinner,
tidies the toys, and helps me with something each day,
such as unloading the dishwasher, folding our laundry
or even starting dinner, making my evenings just a
little more manageable. Every evening when I come
home, the twins have had dinner, a bath and are in PJs,
which allows us to just enjoy our short time together
before bed. Analaura has been unbelievably reliable:
only two or three sick or vacation days in three years!
Analaura has been incredibly flexible: stayed late,
switched days, looked after the kids on other occasions
including overnights! Analaura has been completely
dedicated: a million favors, a million hugs, a million
laughs. We will miss her.Marissa

i use my nanny. I give her a dinner break, and then she
comes back. I have glanced at urbansitter.com which
connects through facebook so you end up using sitters
that your friends, or friends of friends have used and
liked.I haven't had to do that yet, as we have only had
3 dates :-(

We've been doing soccer kids off and on for a while.
The boys love it. The classes are short enough to keep
their attention especially when they are younger. They
do lots of fun games and keep the kids active. I think
up to age 3 it might be parent participation. All the
coaches are great too.

My guys turned 3 in March. They did Soccer Kids here in
Marin in the Spring and it was great. They were really
clingy the first few sessions, but would usually warm
up towards the end. It's a really smart program- they
don't really play soccer, they break the game down into
the very basic principals and then have the kids do fun
drills focusing on introducing those skills.
