1. Advice on crib climbing, please!

One of my twin 2-y.o. boys has started trying to crawl
out of his crib, and it looks like it's only a matter
of days at this point. These toddlers are nowhere near
ready for a toddler bed--they need to be contained in a
crib! Is there some kind of solution for crib climbers
 to keep them safe??Thanks

Hi, I am mom to 3 year old twin boys and we are moving
from the UK to SF in the next 2-3 months. We've been to
San Francisco before (about 8 years ago) and loved it -
but not with twins! Has anyone got any advice about
nurseries (think you call them day care centers?) where
should I start looking?? Are there any you'd
particularly recommend? We also need to choose an area
to live...we stayed in Noe Valley before and liked it -
but is this a good place to live with kids? We're
coming to do a 'recce' in a few weeks and we'll be
staying in the Mission area - is this
child-friendly?Are there many parks? Lots of questions!
Hope you can help! Many thanks, Gabrielle.

Hi Gabrielle,I am running out the door but will be
happy to answer your questions later. I am taking my
kids to Europe for the summer and have just posted my
house in Noe Valley/Mission area for rent; it's fully
equipped for a family with twins. If you need a place
for part of the summer, let me know. Noe is the place
to be with kids... without a doubt!! The Mission is
hip and safe as long as you are in prescribed areas.
Let me know where you are staying and I will give you
more feedback. Will be back at my computer in a couple
of hours.CheersGedaliaDad to 3.5 year old twins--- On

Hi Gabrielle,I responded earlier to your query. Here
are some thoughts. Depending on the age of your kids
and whether you yourself are going to be working, you
might want to consider a co-op nursery/preschool. Most
of them are NOT on rolling admissions, but I do know
that a few do have slots..... as my children have both
been attending two such schools this past year. It's a
lovely option and allows you to be a parent/teacher in
 a teacher-led play/classroom. You can email me
directly and I'd be happy to tell you more about these.
As for neighborhoods, Noe Valley is really the prime
location for being with kids. If you are in the Inner
Mission than there are some newly created fantastic
playgrounds/parks. If you are in the outer-mission
somewhat less so. Depending on the age of your kids
and whether you are stroller-bound you might want to
seriously consider living on a flat block in a location
that gives you easy walking access to amenities. Many
streets in Upper Noe are just too hilly to be
convenient in this sense. I could not do a
double-stroller the first year on the big hills.... at
least not every day multiples times. I know that there
are a couple of twin families that relocated here from
the UK over the last couple of years. If it's helpful
to be in touch with just such a family, let me know and
I'll reach out. Best of luck in your search and do
field questions as they come. I'm in SF for about 3
more weeks before leaving.CheersGedalia--- On Tue,

My identical boys have 3 distinguishing features.
Ranked from most to least obvious:1. Birthmark on a
thigh (only obvious in absence of pants)2. A vein near
the surface of the skin on the bridge of the nose on
one twin3. Shapes of faces slightly different (became
more obvious at about 4 months)You will find something
to use if you can't get the nail polish onto those tiny
 itty bitty toe nails.
