I highly recommend Priscilla Havea as a night nurse for
twins. Her cell phone is 650-267-0156 and email is
prshavea at yahoo.com. We benefited beyond words from
having Priscilla come 4 nights/week for the first two
months after our twins were born. She has amazing
skills in helping the babies take bottle, sleep, and
stay asleep for increasingly longer stints. It was
lovely to wake up in the morning and see the house all
picked up, laundry done, and dishes put away. Priscilla
lets her intuition guide her and she seems to have
plenty when it comes to babies. She also helped me
relax and see things that I couldn't see otherwise, and
generally gave me confidence to get through the initial
period. Thanks to Priscilla, I got solid sleep and was
able to function during the day, often without a nap.
My husband did not have to wake up at all.Feel free to
contact me with any other
questions.Jenniferjenadibi at att.net

Hi all:Have you just been accepted to preschool? Still
waiting to hear? Excited & nervous at the same time?
Not to worry: You're right on target, it all sorts out,
and the transition is more fun, entertaining, and
supportive with friends!Join the SFPOM Preschool group
and get together with friends in the same place.
Florence Bray and I have been running this "pop up"
group for a couple of years, and our kids are both
"graduating" out to kindergarten.Looking for one or two
warm, fun folks to simply plan a park-location
gathering every other month (or more often, as it suits
you), welcome folks to the group, start/manage
conversation threads, etc. Potluck was a big success
for us :)Please respond to me directly
(judyldaniel at yahoo.com) if you're interested in
joining/leading the fun.Happy Preschool! The milestones
just keep coming.- Judy(Ella travel planning for families; FAQs from
new
parents; info on upcoming Expert Speaker Sessions;
various parents' nights out and MORE! Please check it
out, and don't hesitate to provide your
feedback!NatashaEditor, Multiplicity Hard copies should
arrive in your mailboxes (if you elected that option)
over the next few days.Please

4. NTR: Canadian summer vacation

lararajninger - 3/4/2012 6:36 am
Hi all, We were thinking of taking our 12 year olds to
Canada this summer. I've never been but thought we
might go to Vancouver, Whistler, Banff and Lake Louise.
I have some information on Vancouver (thanks to this
group). Has anyone been to Whistler, Banff or Lake
Louise? We have 2 weeks for the trip and thought we'd
fly into Vancouver and rent a car and drive. I'd also
heard about the train there, but it seems pricey. Thanks
in advance for any feedback.-Lara

I can highly recommend John Levi who has been making
custom cabinets and entertainment centers for 40 years.
Works independently so is reasonably priced considering
the quality he is producing. You can reach him at
650-867-5584 or johnkath.levi at gmail.com.

Both my husband and I are designers and a good friend
of ours has done custom millwork fabrication for years.
He did the cabinetry for our house, but has quite a bit
of experience doing commercial work. He's easy to work
with, has a great eye for detail and his prices are
reasonable. I highly recommend him. Here's his contact
info: Gary Kleiman, 415-439-9515 (cell). Gary Kleiman,
gary at fatheringfieldguide.com (he a great dad and wrote
a book on fathering hence the email address). good luck
with your project!

I love my Bumbleride Indie Twin. It has real wheels and
a lock to keep wheels straight for jogging. It's one
of the lighter ones too. I got mine on sale at Lullaby
Lane in San Bruno.

We like the Svan Highchair, not cheap, but a great
investment for us as we have had no issues with it and
our twin boys stay put in them. They are also easy to
clean. Maybe you can find some second hand.Good luck!

Unfortunately, the only thing that has worked for us is
the Cry-it-out, which doesn't sound like an option for
you. It was only painful (meaning they cried) for 2-3
nights and then began to self soothe on their own.
They are great sleepers still at 2.5 years old. My
friend with twins had to separate hers since one always
woke the other. I think you may want to try the pack
and play and try to CIO for a couple of nights.
Everyone I know that has let their kids sleep with them
has had trouble getting them out of their bed. Good
luck!

My advice is get a postpartum night doula, ours was an
angel.During the postpartum period getting a break is
extremely important and if you don't have one doula
yet, I'll recommend Cassia.I'm not sure if she is
available, but you can contact her directly:Cassia415
