Craig Louis Presents: "LOL for RPD," a night of comedy benefiting the SF Recreation
and Park Department's programs for children on the autism spectrum. Saturday,
May 12, 2012, at 8 p.m., at the historic Palace of Fine Arts Theatre (3301 Lyon
Street), featuring local comics Mark Pitta, Dennis Gaxiola and Mike E. Winfield.
General admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door the day of the

Sunday as part of last week's "Mom and Me" photo contest. The other winners were

Mission Blue Butterfly Making a Comeback
The Mission blue butterfly is making a comeback on Twin Peaks, thanks to our efforts
to reintroduce the population there in partnership with San Mateo County Parks and
Creekside Science Center for Earth Observation. Scientists and park staff are collecting
adult butterflies from San Bruno Mountain and reintroducing them at their historic
home atop Twin Peaks. Forty males and 20 females are expected to be collected and
released between now and the end of the month.

Stern Grove Festival Celebrates its 75th Season This Summer

has announced its 75th season of admission-free concerts, Sundays at 2 p.m., from
June 24 through August 26, at Sigmund Stern Grove. This landmark summer season features
a mix of performers as diverse as the city it calls home. This summer's 10-week
concerts series features an array of pop and jazz music greats, including Anita
Baker, Sheila E, Al Jarreau, OK Go, Ozomatli, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Meshell
Ndegeocello, as well as the City's three classical institutions-the San Francisco
Symphony, Ballet and Opera. Stern Grove Festival is the only venue in the world
where all three of these renowned cultural institutions perform every summer, completely
admission-free.
