One of my boys (25m) has been waking up at 5:30 for the
past 3 weeks. He has always been an earlier riser than
the rest of us, but we are greatly missing our prior
6:30 wake-ups. Any tips on keeping toddlers in bed in
the AMs? Bedtime is 7-7:30. We've tried an earlier
bedtime, later bedtime, and cry-it-out for 3d (I know
that's very controversial, but we did sleep train
previously and they have always been good
 sleepers/nappers since).He's not teething/sick, and
there have been no big changes
(school/caregiver/schedule, etc) in our lives. We have
heavy blinds, so the room is dark. I am at a loss as
to what's causing this sudden change in sleep
patterns.I know some kids are simply early risers, but
this seems a bit excessive, and I can see that he's
tired during the day, and he's waking up his brother
who needs a bit more sleep. Have any of you experienced
this, and how did you deal with it?Thank you!

3. Stopped gaining weight since put on gestational diabetes
diet... did this happen to anyone else?

I was diagnosed with GD three weeks ago (week 26) and
since then I have mostly lost weight. I checked this
morning and I am up exactly one pound since week 25 (I
will be 29w tomorrow). I called the nurses at my OB
and they didn't seem particularly concerned--
"everybody loses weight on the GD diet at first"-- but
I have only gained 30 lbs so far and am worried that my
babies will be underweight if I can't keep up with the
recommended weight gain (I think I am supposed to gain
at least another 10 lbs). Did anyone else stop gaining
weight in the 3rd trimester, either due to the GD diet
or for any other reason? And did your babies turn out
healthy? I want huge, fat, healthy twins!
