1. When do babies outgrow "the witching hour"?
--------------------------------------------------------
jeccat - 11/1/2012 6:57 pm

Hi moms-- my 3.5 mo twins are at their fussiest between
4:30 and their 6:30 pm bedtime, which means that my
husband usually comes home to two screaming babies and
me doing gymnastics to try to keep them calm. I am
going back to work next month and it has me wondering:
Will all I see of my babies during the week be their
screaming little faces? Or will they outgrow the
 evening fussies soon?

Any suggestions on a good infant swing? We live in the city
 and don't have much room...

My kids loved the fisher price ocean swing (around $99
at the time) and did not like their graco $179 swing.
The person who bought the fp swing from me said she had
it for her first baby and loved it. I would just get
the simplest fisher price swing. Battery operated is
good -- the batteries only had to be changed once in
ten months. I found it to be a big help. Also, if you
are looking for pack n plays, get the simplest,
lightest model without ant of the music and change tray
gimmicks which you will never use. Sent from my iPhone

our girls are 15 months now. the swing was so useful!
even critical! i loved our hand-me-down, looked kind
 of like this

 http://compare.ebay.com/like/181003027127?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar.
we only had one swing. usually i was wearing the
other baby or she was in the lalapanzi.one feature to
look for in the fisher price line of swings is the
ability to rotate the chair to face it to swing EITHER
side to side OR forward to back. one of our girls
liked swinging in it one way and the other preferred
the other way! hope that helps. best, jen

My routine is 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. go for a walk so the
babies can take a catnap in the stroller, during which
time I let the house get pretty warm. When we get
back, I let the babies play naked and air out for about
10-15 minutes. They usually don't pee but in case they
do, I place them on a large folded towel with a Huggies
changing pad underneath. I draw their bath and bathe
 them one at a time from 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. I don't wash
their hair every day, and when I do, it's not at bath
time. The first gets bathed and clothed and then
placed on the activity mat while I bathe the next.
Both get fed starting at around 5:50 to 6:00 p.m. in a
dim room. They're in bed by 6:45 to 7:00 p.m.
Sometimes the whole schedule shifts a little forward or
backward depending on how the day goes but the routine
and duration of events stays about the same.

We don't need a nanny but may need some housekeeping
every other week. Would she be interested in this, or
is she primarily seeking nanny work or more frequent
 housekeeping? Thanks.

cleaning both). My info is bhavna at gmail.com or

give you a call a bit later. thank you!

bhavna12... yes I have to take the second seat
attachment off to fit in trunk. It's easy enough, we
have a honda. So maybe a bigger car you wouldn't have
 to.Happy walking!

thank you all for your help. I'm going to try the
parent console and see how it works. Just FYI.. some
friends mentioned this as well if anybody is interested
 in trying, cheaper alternative.
