Our regular sitter is out of town and we need a sitter
for our 3-year-old twins from 5:30ish to 11ish both of
these nights. Does anyone have someone to recommend who
might be available those nights?Thank you!

just curious - does anyone pump and bottle feed? I
have been doing that and supplementing with formula but
recently I tried bf them and it has become such a pain
in the neck bc now they want to eat all the time rather
than every 3-4 hours. I feel really bad, but I think I
may give up and go back to just bottle feeding.

Please don't feel bad about this. Breastfeeding is not
the only way to bond with your babies. My twins were
micro-preemies, so my only option was to pump while
they were on feeding tubes, and by the time they were
ready to feed from a nipple it just didn't work out
very often for it to be from the breast. I pumped and
bottle fed, and while I felt like it was twice the
amount of work (pumping, then feeding, then all the
dishes associated with the pumping and the bottle
feeding - I felt like I never got a break) I knew in my
heart it was the only solution that was going to work
for our situation. Follow your gut, and do not feel
bad or guilty about bottle feeding. You are giving
them the best possible nutrition and that is what
matters most. All the best to you!

Thanks for your support! I do feel like it's a lot of
work with all of the cleaning of equipment and pumping,
but that's nothing compared to when I try to bf on top
of it. ps. my babies were preemie (34 weeks) and my
little boy was IUGR and weighed 2lbs 6oz at birth.
They both were in the NICU and gavage fed until they
could take the majority of their feeds from a bottle.

Anyone know of a good child seat attachment for an
adult bike? What's a good age to start them riding
along?

6. Have you used the Sleep Easy Solution on twins?

eeewww - 11/9/2012 9:30 am
We are going to sleep train our 4 month old twins next
week. We used the Sleep Easy Solution with our now 2.5
year old. We plan to use it again for our twins.Just
wondering if anyone has any advice. I'm a little
nervous about how this will work with twins and with a
toddler in the next room.I plan to keep the twins in
the same room for the sleep training. Is that a bad
idea?

our girls are 15 months. if you intend for them to
share a room after sleep training, my advice is to keep
them in the same room during sleep training. they'll
learn to sleep through each other's cries. no advice
on the toddler part...good luck!

no advice on the toddler part, but we followed "Healthy
sleep habits, happy twins" and kept them in the same
room (no matter what) and we have excellent sleeping
2-year-olds now, who snore through each other's
meltdowns because they sleep trained in the same room.
I highly recommend keeping them together if you want
them together in the future. Good luck!

Keeping them together is my leaning too. Thanks. I
think we will try it with my toddler here as see how it
goes. If it is too terrible, she can sleep at grandmas
the next night. I also think we will be going cold
turkey on all sleep aids when we sleep train. They have
been swaddled and fall asleep to a pacifier right now.
They are also in sleep positioners in yet cribs. But
one is almost rolling so we have o lose the sleep
positioners anyway. I kind of figure if I'm going to
make them cry it out, make them figure everything out
at once. Otherwise it seems like we might have to sleep
train each time we take something away. My doc seemed
to agree. Any thoughts? We sleep trained my older
daughter no swaddled no paci, but she could roll on her
tummy to soothe herself, and these babies can't quite
yet. So this might be rough. We will just have sleep
sacks, white noise and lovies.
