1. Splitting your twins up for a weekend trip (or longer)?
--------------------------------------------------------
nodelmonkey - 11/30/2012 12:18 am

Tomorrow I'm headed for a long weekend away with one of
my girls, off to meet my new niece who was born on
Halloween. I'm very excited to travel with ONE BABY
(how relaxing?!) but also somewhat sad to leave my
other daughter. Granted she gets to stay home and have
"special time" with Papa and Nana (my mom who flew in
to help out since my hubby will be traveling for work
part of the time I'm away), I'm still sad to leave her.
I also worry that, while she's had time away from me
before, she hasn't had more than a few hours away from
her sister ever. Have any of you split up your babes
for an extended period before and how did it go? Can
you reassure me all will be well? (I think this will be
a good thing for them and us long term, just a bit
worried about the short term of it all)

2. POM Lending Library
--------------------------------------------------------
nataliasha2004 - 11/29/2012 5:04 pm

 (I'm on a ROLL!!)Another thought I had... between
everyone in our membership, I'm sure we have an
 absolutely amazing ollection of
 pregnancy/birth/multiples/parenting books. Would it
be helpful to collect them all in once place (at least
VIRTUALLY, if not physically) so as to benefit our
members? If so, any volunteers?I think it could save
our members a lot of time/trouble if they could just
borrow useful books, rather than buy them (there are so
many OTHER things out there to buy, after all!) Plus,
so many of them are really only used for a relatively
 limited time....Thoughts? Feedback? Volunteers??
 *hint, hint, beg*

This is a great idea! Sorry, can't volunteer any space
 - I am going to get rid of all my books soon because I
am burried in clutter with a big family and many
books/toys. Would love to donate them to the Club.

4. (Speaking of) What to Wear...
--------------------------------------------------------
nataliasha2004 - 11/29/2012 4:55 pm

What do our members think about the possibility of
starting up a Maternity Clothes Closet, or at least a
Maternity Formalwear Closet?I imagine many of us had
cause to wear something ressy at least once during our
pregnancies, and most of those dresses probably have
LOTS of life left in them yet. Your thoughts? Anyone
volunteer to be a Closet Keeper for this? I have one
dress, w/ accessories, I can donate to start us off...

7. where to feed kids?
--------------------------------------------------------
bhavna12 - 11/29/2012 9:52 am

Currently, we are feeding both kids in their fisher
price rocker/sleepers at my parents home. We are
looking for something for our condo as well (not as
much space), any suggestions for something not as big
and bulky that we can buy for the both of them. Our
twins are 3 months old. Beginning to think about
transition back to our condo and what we should take
and leave behind at my parents.

in case anyone is interested, here is the
 rocker/sleeper we purchased.

 http://www.amazon.com/Tiny-Love-Rocker-Napper-Brown/dp/B0073DNYSW/ref=sr_1_9?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1354212027&sr=1-9&keywords=rocker+sleeper+fisher+priceit's
great and love the tilting features but you definitely
need space to store and keep 2 rocker/sleepers which is
why we are looking for a more compact solution to feed
 the kids in.

I got some xl stuff from h&m that worked through the
end. I think some of the clothes I wore as tops were
meant to be dresses though :). Good luck!

I was 55" around at 38.5 weeks. At the end, I wore my
brother-in-law's XXL plaid flannel shirts and sweaters
with maternity pants below the tummy. For something
nicer, I would wear black maternity pants under the
belly and an XL black maternity shirt and then a
 glittery cardigan sweater.

In the last trimester I bought a few things on sale at
gap that were a size up. I just alternated between the
same two long sleeve shirts for the last few months. I
know someone who got non-maternity skirts and dresses
at Cotton Basics, that she was able to wear through her
entire twin pregnancy, and afterwards too.

Old Navy-I got a cute maternity dress there that was
stretchy so fit til the end and tons of basics like
tank tops, ts, pants for cheap. I also wore some of
their plus size tops at the end and some XL men's T's
that my husband had. I splurged on a couple dresses at
Nest on Divisadero when I thought I would be working
longer but only ended up wearing one of them at our
baby shower because I ended up leaving work. It was
nice to feel all dressed up on my special day but I'm
not sure it was worth the cost.

My parents bought me some 4x mens tshirts and I had XXL
pajama pants, along with one or two pairs of HUGE
maternity pants. I never did the comparison, though,
of how big I would have been for a singleton, so maybe
my trips didn't take up as much room as your twins are!
Keep them in there and cooking, even if you have to
 wear a snuggie all day.

Thanks for all the ideas! I am going to try to few of
your ideas tomorrow. If all else fails, I do have 2
Giants snuggies that aren't sounding so bad right about
 now. :)

Yes.... dress for COMFORT at this stage! I had a
couple of pieces from Target that were super comfy and
got a LOT of wear. And a few loose A-line dresses
that were 2 - 3X, etc. This kind of makes me wonder
whether POM needs a Maternity Clothes Closet (or at
least, a formal-wear maternity clothes closet...)
Hmmm. Perhaps I'll post that separately, and see if
 anyone bites.

already got rid of all my maternity clothing because
 I've no storage space..Jenia On Nov 29, 2012, at 4:54
