I have always used the regular dr. browns bottles. I
used them with my first daughter (now 2.5) because she
was gassy and I figured it would help reduce the gas. I
use them now with my 3.5 month old twins. I tried the
wide mouth ones for a minute, but found the babies
couldn't latch on as well. They are 100% formula
fed.One of my twins takes the bottle just fine. The
other one is super high maintenance. You basically have
to walk around with her and show her things to get her
to take the bottle. She shakes her head, pushes it with
her tongue or hand, etc. She takes it just fine though
when she is asleep or nearly asleep at night. And she
takes it fine for the first 1-2 ounces, then all hell
breaks loose. It is as if she takes the edge off the
hunger, and then she isn't interested in eating
anymore. But 1-2 ounces is not enough to sustain her
until the next feeding, so we have to really work to
get an additional ounce or two in her.I don't really
think a different bottle would make a difference, but
if anyone has had a similar experience and has resolved
it by switching bottles, please share! This is driving
me crazy. :)

i didn't have the same experience to you. however, i
swore by the tommee tippee anti-colic bottles. no
reflux problems. they are wide, like mama's
breast/nipple. they were great.

I actually think wide mouth would be harder for my
baby. As I mentioned, I tried the wide mouth dr. Browns
and they didn't like it and they never really
breastfed.

I had one super fussy eater too. Have you tried
warming the bottle more? My fussy guy needed the
bottle warmed 1/2 way through - and to be bounced while
fed. I still jiggle when sitting down - even when not
holding him.

Faster nipples. We went to 2 at that age. They spend
the first part of the day gagging as it is coming too
fast and then they get the hang of it and love it.

I use the parent console universal, bought it on
amazon. It works well enough for us I usually put a
cup of coffee in the holder or a water bottle.

I think the parent console is the only cup holder for
the City Select.

I have a great babysitter Elizabeth who has been with
us since our twins were 4 weeks old. Our twins are now
16 months old. We are going back to Europe for the
holidays leaving on November 20 until early January.
Elizabeth looks after our twins 20 hours per week, if
you are interested she will be free during those weeks.

hi! my fraternal girls are 15 months now. those were
long days. keep hanging in there! it does get better
around 3-4 months (adjusted). two things i did: 1.) i
swear by tommee-tippee anti-colic bottles/nipples (they
don't drip, and therefore function as close to mama's
breast/nipple as possible); the kids have to suck out
the milk which is more work for them, but really good
for their development and keeps colic at bay. 2.) the
other thing i did is to feed them when they asked for
it (not on a schedule, until 3+ months). whichever one
first cried for food, i'd set up my space on the bed or
in two bouncy seats (and when they get bigger in
reclining fisher price space saver highchairs!), wake
up the other, and feed them both. i followed their
lead. but, i always woke up the second girl and fed
them simultaneously. a pattern emerged eventually.
you'll see it. i didn't worry about quantity. again,
the pattern emerges over time. ps - the biggest trick
i have for you is: room temperature water!!! a stash
of clean bottles, formula, and room temp water. so
easy to mix individual bottles. no one told me about
room temp water, and when i discovered it i felt like
i'd invented the cotton gin, the wheel, and
electricity! ;) no standing around to heat
bottles!pps - also, for the first three months, my
husband slept with one baby downstairs at night, and i
slept with the other upstairs. worked really well for
us. we didn't have any help. we swapped babies each
night. eventually, around 3 months, we put them into a
shared crib in our room (naps there, too), then moved
the cribs to their rooms around 5 months. if you have
any questions, i'm happy to chat!best, jen

afterthoughts: 1.) rubbing on the chin/jaw line is a
great tip. 2.) do you have a mini fridge in your
bedroom/or in the nursery? saved so much back and
forth, up and downstairs. 3.) are you doing a dream
feed at 10pm? maybe it's too early. i forget. those
months were such a blur. but, when the time is right,
it helps!4.) when you can, force yourself to get out
the door to a sfpom new and expectant parents meeting
at day one center. they're sooooo helpful! best, jen
