I don't know if yours are walking yet, I'm sure that's
its own set of challenges, but we just took a flight
with our 8 month old twins who have been crawling for a
while and we survived. I got a lot of tips from other
moms, but what worked for us:-bring a new food
(novelty)-bring several favorite (or new) toys-use what
you can find on an airplane: in flight magazine to
rip/chew on, plastic drink cups that you get with the
beverage service, empty water bottles were a big hit
(you can put a penny in it too), various trash (yours
:) wrappers and similar-bring sleep sack, lovey, other
bedtime rituals if you want to try to get them to take
their nap on the plane-use overnight diapers (we love
huggies overnites) so that you only need to change on
 the plane if it's a bmWe're taking a 6-hour flight on
monday and my husband just downloaded some baby
einsteins - ours haven't watched TV yet so not sure how
they'll like it, but again, hoping the novelty will
 help. Good luck!

I definitely don't have all the answers, but my twins
are 8 months and around 3 months, we put them on a
fairly strict schedule and that really helped get them
both on track. They're always put down for naps and bed
at the same time. One goes straight to sleep and the
other usually rolls around a bit before falling asleep.
There were definitely times early on where one needed
more sleep, or where one would wake up early -- most of
the time, I leave the one who wakes up early in the
room. It doesn't do me much good if one gets a great
nap but the other didn't, as then they're off schedule
the rest of the day. That said, if it's the big last
nap of the day and one wakes up unusually early,
sometimes I'll go in and take that one out, if they're
really awake and not just moving around a bit. If
necessary, I'll sneak in another nap for that baby
later on, but again, then you're dealing with one baby
up and one baby sleeping. I always catered more to the
baby that needed more sleep/slept longer and actually
fairly quickly, the other baby fell in line with that
schedule. I think I'd suggest that over trying to
always wake up the baby that sleeps longer (of course
within reason). I would look up some different
schedules for 7month babies online and get some ideas.
I always followed Eat Activity Sleep and since they ate
every 3 hours, about 1 hour of each 3-hour block is a
nap, except for the afternoon nap, which was 2 hours.
Play around with it for a week and see if keeping them
up a little longer will help the one that doesn't sleep
as long, sleep longer, or try the reverse, putting them
down a little before they're tired, etc. Hopefully
others comment here (you could also post on the fb page
and you may get more responses). As for what to do about
going out, as much as I wanted to be flexible and have
the kids fit into our lives, I've found that sticking
to the schedule works better for everyone. Usually
after the 10am feeding, we get out for a few hours,
with them taking a short nap in the stroller between 12
and 1pm. Then we eat again at 1pm, play and take a long
nap in the crib 2-4. Eat at 4, then we can go out
again. I try to plan activities, meeting with friends
during these chunks of time. I can deviate a little
bit, but too much and it's a disaster for them and not
worth it to be out.Not sure if that helps, but
hopefully people who struggled getting their babies on
 the same schedule can comment
