One of my twins is super gassy, colicky, etc and our
pediatrician has suggested trying Nutramigen - the only
problem is that she will not take it. I am still
breastfeeding and supplementing w/ formula so any
suggestions on how to get her to eat the new formula?
She's 4 mos. Thanks in advance for the help.

Slowly mix the formula with your breast milk,
increasing the amount of formula each bottle until
she's used to the flavor. Good luck!

HiNutramegen is unapplealing. That might be why she
won't take it. I think around 5 months we switched to
Gerbers gentle formula. My girls drank both, but liked
the Gerbers better I think. We changed primarily
because the Nutramegen was so expensive. Good luck.

5. Mothers Helper needed
--------------------------------------------------------
gabriellesparkly - 2/1/2013 2:48 pm
Hi,We're looking for a mothers helper or part time
nanny to join us from end of May to help out with my 4
year old twins after their pre-school term has ended
and then once they are at summer camp, to help out with
our third child who is due around July 20th and help
out with our newborn until the end of October, possibly
longer. The twins will be back at pre-school at the end
of August. Does anyone know of anyone looking for
part-time work like this? Thanks for any leads.

6. SAHM w/infant twins
--------------------------------------------------------
leslieb_sf - 2/1/2013 8:48 am
If I can't find a nanny for my twins soon I will become
a SAHM. I'm wondering what other SAHMs with infant
twins do with them all day long. I know it kind of
sounds like a dumb question, but I never thought I'd be
in this position. They are 4.5 months old now, and I'm
imagining they will start to be able to play with toys,
etc. soon enough. Any advice/support will be welcome.
:)

My twins are the same age as yours and I'm a SAHM (for
the year, anyway). I'm actually interested in other
people's answers because I'm always searching for stuff
to do :) In the morning we do breakfast and household
chores (they hangout in the front pack and/or play area
while I talk to them about what I'm doing), there may
or may not be some singing and dancing to 90s pop :),
then nap. When they wake up we go for a walk, and nap
on the walk. After we come home and eat, we have
playtime, either outside on a blanket if it's nice or
naked time inside (amazing how much they love tummy
time when naked!! Just put down a pee pad!). After
another nap, dad is home, so we put them in the front
packs and make dinner, play a little, read books, etc.
Then bed.I try to involve them in stuff I'm doing, like
if I'm cooking, I put a little of the spices on my
finger for them to smell, or making the bed, fluff the
sheets around them. They have 3 play areas we rotate
around so it's not too repetitive (relatively). One has
overhead stuff to grab, another a mirror and mobile,
another a basket of musical instruments and books, etc.
It's really nice to get out with friends, go to
museums, or go to the library for baby rhyme time.
There are also classes like music and dance at Day One.
I can't wait til they're old enough to enjoy a
playground!Oh and take 1,000,000 pictures :)It's not
the most, hmm, mentally stimulating thing I've ever
done, but it's pretty cool to be present for all those
moments that happen spontaneously. I think the real
challenge is making sure to connect with other folks or
you can get a little stir crazy.Looking forward to
seeing what others do...and if you are a SAHM, let me
know if you'd like to meet up for a walk :)
