Last Chance to Register for the 2013 Camp Mather Lottery

Registration for the Camp Mather lottery is now open and ends this Friday, February
08, at 5 p.m.   Take this opportunity to get up to Camp Mather, the City's public
 family camp near Yosemite. Enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, campfire  entertainment
and a host of other fun activities for the entire family.

Have a child with a disability?

We invite you to register for any week at camp, but we encourage you to consider
 choosing Inclusion Week, June 1 through 8!  During  this week, Recreation and Parks
will provide trained staff to help  facilitate participation of children with disabilities
in camp  activities and provide some great new specialized activities as well.

Mobile Rec is coming to a park near you!  FREE rock climbing, BMX  Biking and Skateboarding
for youth, every Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 2  p.m.  Next Saturday, February 16,
at Garfield Park (26th and Harrison  Streets).  Equipment provided by Rec and Park,

Youth Stewardship Program Teaches Students the Wonders of their City Parks

To all youth educators: Rec and Park's Youth Stewardship Program (YSP), is a free
environmental service learning program for city youth. If you'd like to find out
 how you can complement your indoor classroom with an outdoor classroom service 
learning field trip that incorporates service learning and restoration curriculum,
please contact ysp at sfgov.org [mailto:ysp at sfgov.org] or call (415) 831-6330, ext.
 200, for more information. Applications for Winter/Spring 2013 are still being 
accepted. We accept applications from formal educators, non-formal educators and
 independent youth program leaders for SFUSD schools, grades 2 through 12.

Also, join the Port of SF, Literacy for Environmental Justice and RPD for restoration
and education activities at Heron's Head Park in India Basin Shoreline/Bayview neighborhood,

for pedestrians, bikes, transit and vehicles. We are working to secure funding to
improve Mansell Street through public funding sources, including federal and local
