We are switching one baby from think baby bottles to
dr. Browns. What do people do with old bottles?
Recycle? Donate?

Use a humidifier if you don't already use one, I think
it's helpful. Hope your little one feels better soon.

A humidifier really helped our little one with his
first cold. I also took him in the shower with me at
the end of it, when the room is all steamy. I could see
the relief on his face when all the mucous loosened up!
Ew, but you know, good. Just be careful, they are
slippery! Good luck, I hope your little one is on the
mend soon!

It is Day2 and the symptoms aren't getting better!
Though not worse! Their attitude is still great and
eating well. I picked up a vaporizer and the humidifier
is waiting to be delivered.... I started the saline and
snotsucker as well...fun!Thanks for chiming in!~Judy

When did folks start transitioning from the bouncy
seats to highchairs for eating? My boys have started
successfully, and excitedly, eating rice cereal and a
few fruits and veggies. I have them currently in their
bouncy seats for feedings. So they need to be able to
sit up on their own?

We also love visiting San Diego! Our girls are 3 and we
went last month for 4 days. They had the most fun at
Legoland (all the rides are perfectly suited for this
age). Had heard that Sea World is mostly shows so not
worth it until the kids are older. We also visited the
New Children's Museum downtown, all the exhibits are
hands on. We stayed at a comfortable cozy guest cottage
in the La Jolla area that I found on VRBO that was very
reasonably priced. If you'd like details on the rental,

We had a similar issue- new rav 4 2010, 2.5 year old
ex...and the boys were born in October. We took the car
to that big baby shop on clement - cant rememenr the
name of it- and test ride three wide. Also test rode
three wide with bigger seats. We ended up having to buy
a new toddler seat, but cheaper than a new car :) good
luck and congrats!

We signed a contract with our night nanny. It was very
basic and straightforward. We wanted to "lock" her in
for a specific amount of time and she, of course,
wanted a firm commitment to ensure steady work and
plus, she was in high demand. Although we did perform a
background check with our nanny now that I am back to
work, I did not with our night nanny. Mostly because I
was in the home at night when she was there and the
babies were right next to us. If you are comfortable
with her references, then I think you are okay. But,
perhaps others could provide better insight.By the way,
good for you on hiring one. I was very hesitant to the
idea, but my husband insisted and I am so grateful to
him that he did. I really, really needed the rest
because I was taking care of twin infants by myself
starting when they were 3 weeks old (my husband is self
employed and could not take much time off). My night
nanny was a life saver and she was such a wonderful
presence during those first few months...I miss her!
