Hi all,Our school (my twins are in preschool there) is
having an open house Saturday, January 26, 201310:00
 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.It is a private K-8 school that has
preschool in the same building. We are very happy with
teachers and curriculum - our kids are learning a lot
and enjoying it. In addition to phonics and math, there
is music, science and Spanish taught by subject
teachers. Kids master gross and fine motor skills and
social skills during the day.To attend an open house

2. OT - Ikea Trofast, do you like it?

Our dining room has really become a playroom and is
overflowing with toys in makeshift, mismatched bins. I
thought I'd get basically a wall of these Ikea Trofast
shelves with the bins and lids. I like that i could
contain like items in covered, self contained bins that
could come out for play and go back into their slots.Do
you have this system and like it? Hate it?

why were the lids useless? Did they not stay on?I was
going to do the white frames with the white bins and
label the bins. I kind of want to hid everything in
something uniform, so opaque is good for me.

The Oxo Tot is awesome! we've been using since June and
they clean up fast, still look new. We also looked at
the stokke but it's a small chair and looked like my
kids would outgrow it too fast.

My nine month old twins have been in their Stokkes with
baby seat attachments for about six months. I *love*
them. We don't have enough space for a dining table +
separate high chair area so I've put a plastic
tablecloth cover down on 1/2 the dining room floor and
put silicon placemats (adult ones) at each of their
seats and they just eat at the table with us (so didn't
buy the Stokke trays). So far, so good. Messy to have
them eat at the table to be sure, but the dog has
gotten quite efficient at clean up now that we have the
clear plastic down on the floor.

I had the stokke for my first. We generally used it
with the tray (at the time stokke didn't make one so we
had a third party tray). We had the baby seat on until
she was 2.5 years old. That was just easier than
buckling. Now she is almost 3 and she likes to climb in
and out of it herself (no baby seat). She can sit in a
regular chair but likes this because it is higher and
she is closer to the table.Because she is now using it
as a chair, we ended up getting two more stokkes for my
6 month old twins. So we are a three stokke household
right now. The twins started sitting in them right at 6
months. Neither can sit up on their own, but they are
ok in the baby seat. If you leave them in there for too
long though, I think they get uncomfortable. That will
get better when they can sit on their own. We generally
se the trays (now the newer stokke brand trays which
are narrower so that's good with twins) because of the
mess and I just find it easier. I have the cushions on
the baby set because I think it makes it more
comfortable, but I only use the back cushion and not
the seat cushion. The seat cushion is too hard to get
on and off for washing. For the most part I really like
the high chair. The one major drawback for us is that
it has no head support and does not recline. None of
the options you are looking at have that though I don't
think. We are running into problems right now where one
twin will finish with solids and want the bottle, while
the other twin is still eating. Or one wants the bottle
first. Or whatever. It is difficult to feed a bottle in
the high chair because of the lack of recline and
support. My in-laws have a basic variety babies r us
high chair that has a much higher back and reclines and
it is no problem feeding a bottle in it! I do think
this is a short term problem though.
