1. Looking for volunteers for kindergarten panel

 Calling all parents of twins that are in elementary,
 middle or high schools -- we are looking for volunteers
 to sit on a panel for fellow POM members and help
 address questions about searching for an elementary
 school for multiples in San Francisco. The audience
 will primarily be parents who have children in
 preschool or younger. The objective of this evening is
 to help fellow POM members begin to navigate the
 process of searching for and applying to kindergarten. 
 (Remember when you were in their shoes...?)We are
 looking for a cross section of families who have
 children in any combination of parochial, private or
 public elementary, middle or high schools. The
 volunteer commitment is only for 2 hours for one night
 (Tues, Sept 10th from 6:00-8:00 PM). If you are
 interested in helping other parents of multiples with
 their kindergarten search, please contact Virginia

 Are you traveling alone with the twins? I haven't
 traveled alone with our 10 month old twins but we just
 got back from Chicago and it was pretty easy given we
 curb checked everything (5 pieces total) except the
 umbrella double stroller and diaper bag. We gate
 checked the double umbrella stroller, and my husband
 and I each "wore" a baby when necessary during the
 flight in our baby bjorns. Unfortunately, I don't have
 any advice if you're traveling alone with the twins,
 but I wish you good luck!

 Hi Janine,Yes, you should curb check your car seats to
 help make getting through the airport easier on you. 
 The FAA has approved CARES harnesses but does not
 require them, so it is your choice if you want to use
 them vs. the standard seat belts in the seats. I used
 them for my twins until they were 4, and I felt that
 they did give better restraint to them than the
 standard airplane seat belts. It does take a little
 time to put them on the seats, so try to get on the
 plane early.I would advise not traveling with the BOB
 Duallie as it is such a big and heavy stroller, and
 travel with an umbrella stroller instead. If you
 really need the BOB at your end destination, then just
 gate check it.I would definitely wear one of the babies
 on your body, even if they can walk, so that it makes
 it easier to get on the plane with one baby walking or
 on your other hip.I think the club has CARES harnesses
 to borrow and you can check the email aliases in the
 latest newsletter to see which "closet" lends them.Good
