1. embryo storage

Hi Ladies,I had my twins purely because of IVF and we
have two embryos left. They are in storage at UCSF and
their rate goes up $100 per year. So our next renewal
will be $800 or $900. I've been told in a whispering
voice that UCSF doesn't want to store embryos or be in
the business of that. Does anyone else have a
suggestion in the Bay Area where they have moved or are
just storing embryos from the start?thanks!

Our identical twin boys should be arriving in the next
3-4 weeks and so we figured it was about time to start
putting together our hospital bags. Would love some
advice and recommendations on what to bring. I don't
know yet what kind of delivery it will be, but I'll be
at Mills Peninsula in Burlingame. Anything my husband
should be sure to bring? Many thanks!

I'm certain there is absolutely no way I could have had
my twins vaginally without my birth doula, Ilka Fanni
Szilagyi (and the doctor who delivered me, Dr. Nick
Rabushkin). Ilka was and is amazing. We still email
on occasion. FYI - if both your twins are head down
and Baby A is larger or around the same size as B, you
can go no epidural at St. Luke's.My name is: Hae Won

doulaI employed this caregiver from to: from about May
2012 to June 2012I highly recommend her/him because:
This is copied from my yelp review of Ilka:Ilka is an
amazing birth doula who is warm, compassionate, and
very skilled at what she does. She is able to draw on
her many skill sets to support the mother, baby (babies
in my case), and family before, during, and after labor
and delivery. She is knowledgable in massage therapy,
 homeopathics, EMF, visualization techniques and
position recommendations. My husband and I firmly
believe that we could not have delivered our twins
naturally (no pain meds!) without her support. I had a
24 hour labor that almost went into c-section twice but
it was avoided both times because we had the perfect
combination of a doula and doctor who trusted my body
and those of my babies'. One of the two doctors in the
delivery room actually commented to me later on how
impressed she was with Ilka. She was very focused on me
and my needs, even with all the people and flurry of
activity associated with delivering twins. She was a
liaison, advocate, and teacher both in and out of the
hospital. We initially weren't sure if we needed a
birth doula because the positions of babies could have
ruled out a natural birth outright but when they were
in the right position at around 34 weeks, I thought it
might be a good idea. I mainly wanted support for my
husband and someone to turn to as a sounding board.
Ilka ended up being so much more than I had ever
envisioned. We were very lucky to have just come upon
her on yelp and have her as part of our lives. She
really was and has been there for me and my husband.
During delivery, she made sure not only I but also my
husband ate, stayed hydrated, and got rest. After
delivery, she went to Target for me to pick up lots of
odd and ends and assembled our bassinet. When we needed
postpardum support, she contacted her network and we
were able to find help. I could go on and on. Ilka is
very passionate about and good at what she does. Also,
if you're interested, she does placental
 encapsulation.Optional:Your child's age:Does the
