 I'm currently 35 weeks--suffering from
preeclampsia--I'm 45 so they have hospitalized me and
have managed to regulate my BP, They hope for me to go
to 37 weeks. We are looking for a pediatrician. We had
Health Net Insurance--Hills Physician group. Any

I think you're doing a great job getting out! That's
basically what I still do and mine are 10 months now. I
know there are some classes at Sprout on union st and
temple Emanuel offers free groups (singing, playing,
 etc) Mondays and Fridays.

Mine are 10 months and success looks like a walk and
sometimes we get to a park and I take them out and put
 them on a blanket.

I've just started doing a baby boot camp in Golden Gate
Park with my 6 1/2 month triplets. I'm really enjoying
the chance to talk to other moms, as like you, I mostly
stick to going for walks (I've actually never risked
taking all three of them to a store) and don't have
much interaction with adults otherwise. It's nice,
though a pretty tough workout! Do you do the swim class
with the babies by yourself? I'd love to find one that
didn't require an adult per baby.

This makes me feel much better, thank you! I was
feeling like the babies were missing out on some
important interaction. It seems like when we go out
into the world they're wide eyed and a bit overwhelmed
(as is their mother). I guess that could be the fact
that everything is so new? I know we're not supposed to
compare, but I see my friends with singletons going to
play groups, music class, mama and me yoga and I've
wondered if other twin mama's are able to make to these
classes and how they manage the two. Although, now that
the babies are rolling like crazy I feel like it makes
our prospects a little more challenging too. :) At
least they always have each other for entertainment.
Wow caitlingaudet, I commend you! We are going to La
Petit Baleen for swimming but it is 1 adult to 1 baby.
My husband and I go together. Perhaps they offer a
helper for the swim classes or have some suggestions?
What's a mama of three to do?! Also, I haven't taken
them both to the grocery store either.

Curious why she's only considering UCSF? I had a
horrific experience with IUI there. Tooo many interns,
inaccessible nurses with poor communication skills,
difficult sxheduling. When I went for IVF, I went
straight to one of the top experts in the country - Dr
Zouves - who's in Foster City (goivf.com). I know lots
of people who after several failed cycles end up with
Dr Z. My theory is why bother with second rate docs
when the best is so accessible. IVF really is only a
25% chance in the best case, but you can do things to
 increase it 5-10%

To elaborate on my experience: I had a wonderful
experience with Dr. Fujimoto (not just an RE but he and
his wife also went through IVF) and the entire UCSF
team which resulted in the birth of my son and
daughter. The doctors and staff were patient, kind,
open and honest about the options that I had and the
order in which they recommend I exercise them. I would
not hesitate to recommend them to my best friend or use
them again if I wanted a third.

I had vaginal delivery without epidural (di/di,
vertex/transverse) at 39 weeks; at St. Luke's with Dr.
Laura Norrell (she trained at UCSF). Highly recommend
her if you get past 36 weeks (since St. Luke's doesn't
have a NICU). I had most of my prenatal care at UCSF,
assuming I'd have the babies there, i.e., that I
wouldn't get past 36 weeks and might need a NICU.
After 36 weeks, I changed OBs to Dr. Norrell. Glad I
 did.
