3. Quick! Do I wake babies for bath time?!
--------------------------------------------------------
ppatcat - 3/12/2013 3:26 pm
My 6 month old twins are sleeping much later than
usual, and their bath time is in 5 minutes. Do I wake
them? They usually eat soon after bath time and then
bed...what do I do? If I let them sleep it'll throw
everything off and they may not sleep from 7:30 to 7:30
like they have for the last 3 months! What do I do?

They say "never wake a sleeping baby..." but I was
pretty obsessed with schedules as well. Sometimes, nap
would run really late and my kids would still go to bed
at their usual time - even if bedtime was 1.5 hours
after they just woke from nap! If you're not
comfortable with letting them sleep, you could also
consider opening the door, perhaps opening the
curtains, letting them wake naturally, and skipping
bath time tonight and putting them down at 7:30 as
usual. This may be a sign that they're getting sick
and need more rest, or it may be a sign that they're
ready to consolidate their sleep differently than they
had in the past (perhaps it's time to drop a daytime
nap, resulting in a longer afternoon nap?) For what
it's worth, my 3-year olds don't wake from nap until
4pm and they're ready to go to sleep at 7:30!

I'm with Holly on the "never wake a sleeping baby"
mantra not applying to twins. However, in this case,
I'd skip the bath if that's an option. We only give
baths every other night and it does not seem to confuse
bedtime at all...

mommy_a2 - 3/12/2013 10:41 am
I am looking for a nanny for my 4.5 month old twin
girls. I am a stay at home mom so I'd also consider a
nanny share. Any thoughts, advice and/or
recommendations? Thanks!

7. Has anyone used Your Child's Nanny?

colevalleymom - 3/12/2013 10:20 am
Wondering if anyone has obtained a nanny through this
agency which places nannies of LDS (Mormon) faith. If
so, what was your experience? We are also considering
an au pair and curious about the relative benefits of
each. Is it possible to find an au pair with excellent
English?Thanks!

Hi everyone,Do you know of a great service that comes
out and does baby proofing? I can't believe how fast my
10 week old twins are changing. Before I know it they
will be crawling around and looking for stuff to get
into. If you have a thoughts or suggestions about baby
proofing I'd love to hear about it.Thanks a lot! :)

hi elizabeth, we never used a service, but here are a
few things we did. hope these help.- put lots of stuff
in a ground level drive up storage shed...box by box,
slowly over the next couple of months. a box a week
type thing. set up the long skinny storage shed with a
long wall of shelves (ikea or something) and label all
boxes, facing out, so you can access everything easily
over the next couple of years.- i highly recommend
investing in two big/square graco pack 'n plays -
http://www.amazon.com/Graco-TotBloc-Pack-Carry-Quilt/dp/B000056C86
. they're pretty ugly (imo), but are SO practical.
kids can really play in them. stretch out. play mats
fit perfectly in them -
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2737988.
our kids at 19 months still love playing in them
sometimes - each with her own sets of toys. they seem
to sometimes love having their own space. and, they
buy me moments to work in the kitchen, go to the
bathroom, etc. knowing they're both safe and happy.- we
put the girls' dresser in our room (so i can fold and
put away their clothes during naps, at night, etc.).
what's been great about this is that their room is a
safe room. two cribs, two xl llbean canvas bags -
