1. What did you do to cope with your kids crying to sleep?

We have successfully achieved some balance in the sleep
department-- the babies generally go to sleep without
fuss at night. However at nap times, and sometimes in
the middle of the night, they cry. It can be for 5
minutes, it can be for 20. We generally visit them
every 10 minutes, pat their butts, etc. Now, *my*
problem is the overwhelming reaction their crying
causes. There are days I feel I am going to throw up.
There was one night it took 2 hours for me to go to
sleep AFTER they stopped, I was so worked up. And,
once, I thought my husband fought with the babies for
2.5 hours. It was 10 minutes, when he was changing one
and the other was upset.I know 'time dilation' is one
of my issues, so I walk around with a watch in order to
know it was 4 minutes of crying, not 50 as it feels to
me. However that does not help the sinking in my
stomach, or the despair I feel. Did you/do you react
strongly to your babies' cries? If so, how do you
mitigate those feelings? Lastly, if you did sleep
training, how did you survive that? Thanks a lot. Right
now they are going down to a nap and it has been 5
minutes of crying. It feels like 2 hours ;PAlessandra

One thing that might help is to take a shower when they
are crying for their naps so you don't hear them.
Chances are when you get out of the shower they will be
 asleep. :)

I wash dishes with the water on full blast (wasting
water = bad. Going batty = worse). Good luck!

We're looking for a part-time nanny for Tuesdays and
Thursdays (10am-6/7pm) for our 7 month old twin girls.
I'm a SAHM and need someone to help me out couple of
days a week. We're looking for someone who has
extensive infant twin experience and is willing to do
some light housework such as babies' laundry and food
prep. We live in SOMA and do not require
driving. Thanks in advance for all your help!
