One of the Club's great services is our new parent meal
delivery program. We will deliver a healthy meal to a
new family any time in the first year.If you would like
to volunteer to prepare/purchase and deliver a meal
occasionally, please email meals at sfpom.org.Thank
 you!ErinBrett and Maggie9/28/09

Hi All,Just wondering whether those of you with twins
entering kindergarten next September can weigh in as to
whether you ran into glitches again this year with the
lottery. Moreover, did anyone end up having their
twins get into two separate schools instead of being
assigned to one school together?GedaliaDad to Ari and
Ella (one more year away from Kindergarten)

1 twin Flynn (our local school), the other twin Harvey
Milk. They were number 9 and 10 on our list - but
mostly to have a 'trading power'. We did not mark the
box to put the twins together - per advice of many
parents of twins, to increase chences of getting at
least 1 of the twins to one of our first choices... Did
not work out, obviously. Any twin families at Harvey
Milk? I do not know much about this school...Thanks in
 advance,Kaska

Topic: B/G twins sharing a room

If you have b/g twins, how long did they share a room for,
or how long are you going...

Our goal had been to keep them in the same room until
they were 7 but my daughter started asking for her own
room at 3 and we split them at 4. Although he missed
her when she moved down the hall it really made a big,
positive difference in her life. She has always been
independent and craved her own space very early on.
(She used to hoard things in her crib that she
identified as truly hers.) Waiting until they were 4
was definitely for our benefit, not hers. She instantly
became a more relaxed kid both at home and preschool.
Knowing that whatever was in her room was truly hers
and didn't need to be shared allowed her to feel calm
and a bit more secure in her world. They are nearly 7
now and like doing sleepovers in each others rooms.

I have 6 1/2 year old b/g twins who have shown zero
interest in going into separate rooms. I remember
buying a changing table from a mom moving east so her
6-7 year old b/g twins could have their own room. When
I saw her next, they were still sharing. You all have
 plenty of time!
