Rec & Park Turkey Cook-off on November 22

Join Rec & Park for our 14th Annual Turkey Cookoff! This year's competition will
 be on Friday November 22, 2013 at Potrero Hill Recreation Center. Festivities will
take place from 6:00pm-9:00pm, and celebrity judging will be from 7-9pm.

Holiday Tree Lighting on December 5

Join us on December 5 for SF Rec & Park's 84th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting! Located
at the historic McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park, this is an event you wont want
to miss. Festivities will include a train ride, live entertainment, and a special
visit from Santa! Operation Dream will be accepting new unwrapped toys at the event
for donation.

Cosmic Run at Candlestick Park on November 23

Cosmic Run is a nocturnal, 5 Kilometer journey through the world's most extravagant
expresions of light, sound, and color. Run, walk, jog, or dance as you marvel at
 never-before-seen lighting technology, fluorescent-glowing colors, and heart-pounding
dance music. No matter where you are along the way, become mesmerized by the pulsing

Mobile Rec at Upper Noe Recreation Center on November 23

Come out and play on the Recreation and Parks Department's Mobile Rec gear! No need
to travel far, all through the school year the equipment rotate through parks or
 recreation centers all over San Francisco on Saturdays from 11am to 2pm. You will
be able to learn techniques and test your skills on the Department's 30-foot rock
climbing wall or get skateboarding and biking tips and learn tricks from RecPark
 Staff! Get ready to ride the ramps, rails and manual pads on our BMX bikes and 
skateboards. RPD staff will be on hand to teach beginner's the basics of kick-turns,
fakies, and dropping in.

This Saturday, November 23 Mobile Rec will be at Upper Noe Recreation Center, at
 26th & Harrison Street.

Healthy Parks Healthy People Trail Walk on November 23

This Saturday, Nov.23 at 10:00am, Healthy Parks, Healthy People will meet at Heron's
Head for a refreshing walk around our Southern Waterfront of San Francisco. Join
 friendly RPD guides for some light stretching, socializing, and bird watching. 
Get active and enjoy this peninsular park. For an extra bonus, visit the EcoCenter
at Herons Head Park for some environmental education activities.

Please check local weather forecasts - Trail Walks will be canceled due to unsafe
conditions if it is raining.

Golden Gate Park (with additional classes at Mission Art Center). The Studio offers
year-round classes and special workshops for children, teens and adult. Come enter
