Resent-Subject: INVITE: Indian Summer Party, 12 Oct, 1:30 pm
WHAT: Party party party!
WHEN: Sat, 12 October 2012, 1:30pm to [unknown]
WHERE: The Zuckershack, 2129 Spaulding Ave, Berkeley (N
37° 52.103' W 122° 16.835)
WHY: Because this is one of our 3 parties of the year
It's time for our fall party! Saturday, 12 October, at 1:30pm.
Beth's entire intent with the fall party is to have people enjoy our
wonderful yard (which she landscaped herself) while it's still light out.
So, we'll switch this year to an earlier start, and get the hot tub going
earlier, too.
We'll be BBQ-ing on our backyard gas grill while it's still light out.
Please bring things you would like to grill, but please don't bring any
mammals or mammal
parts. We'll provide some grillables, most major condiments, the Lemonade
Jar of Doom, and beverages, plates, utensils, buns, things like that.
Because of predictable difficulties grilling in the dark, we'll plan on
shutting the grill down by not too long after 7-ish. There will be a
veggie-only sector of the grill.
We'll also have blender drinks. ;-D As has become a tradition, we'll be
serving caipirinhas (technically, a shaker
drink): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/caipirinha ... and probably daiquiris
and/or Latin Lovers (depending on demand).
In the event of non-cooperation on the part of the weather, all will not be
lost. We got a nice, cast-iron indoor grilling pan earlier this year.
If you are planning on hot-tubbing, please bring easy slip-on/-off shoes,
and, of
course, a towel.
Note to the cat-allergic: you can enjoy this party out in the yard--without
cats!
Please RSVP so we can plan for you, in terms of food. We'll be sending a
reminder message closer to the time. Please ask if you want to bring
anyone, although your significant other(s) are always OK. The house and yard
are not particularly kid-friendly.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Cheers,
Beth & Eric
