Pedro Barges and Pedro Jr. are the guys you are looking
for!! Great prices, honest, excellent work (Pedro Sr.
is from Portugal and does it the 'old fashioned way').
We've recommended them to many people who have been
very happy with their work.Pedro Barges:
510-253-5858(Please tell them Vicki from Pacifica
recommended them.) Hope all's well!!

If you've got the breast milk, keep trying pumped milk
in the bottle! I know it's hard when they don't want
it, but it will give you such a sense of sanity when
you get it to work -- night feedings will go faster,
you'll know how much they are getting, you can top off
the last nursing of the night with a small bottle (my
husband swears this is the reason our babies slept so
well), and most importantly, someone else can feed them
and you can get a break. Maybe try practicing with a
bottle at various points during the day when it's less
stressful than the middle of the night? At around 2
months (on the advice of doctor and a night doula) I
started nursing more often during the day, and that
helped stretch out the night feedings, too -- they got
more of what they needed during the day so they were
able to sleep longer at night.I don't think rice cereal
is recommended at that young an age (I think it's one
of those things people used to do, but doctors disagree
with today). And I don't necessarily think formula
means more sleep. My babies had only breast milk, as
did my sister's, and they were all amazing sleepers at
very young ages -- much better than many people I know
with formula-fed babies. That said, you just have to
figure out what works for you!

Let them know as you are going through the line, and be
prepared for a bit of trouble. I always had my bottles
opened and they waved a wand over the top. It also
can't hurt to have the pump handy to show them if
necessary, and just keep repeating that it's breast
milk from your breasts -- sometimes you get lucky and
get someone uncomfortable who just waves you through.
:-)You're going to be coming home with a LOT of milk!
