So, I'm pretty happy with our current TiVO until it explodes (which
it may be working on, but lately it seems like all the "might be the
hard drive" troubles have stopped).  It seems to me like the only
reason we'd want to get a https://www.tivo.com/shop/roamio would be
because the YouTube and Netflix interfaces suck, and in that case
we've got the PS3, or we could get another chromecast; I can't see
spending $200+ for that.

So, given that, it's worth noting that our contract is about to end.
We can:

1.  Pay $20/month with no contract

2.  Pay $15/month with a 1 year commitment

3.  Pay $400 forever (I think; it might be $500).  That's 2.5 years
or so at the 1 year commitment rate, and less than 2 years at the
month-to-month rate.
