Meetings are held the SECOND and FOURTH Thursday of
each month, 2-3:30, at Calvary Pres Church, 2515
Fillmore St. Hope you can make it! For those
new/expectant moms who haven't been to a meeting
before, I encourage you to attend. It was a lifesaver
for me the first few months and I wish I had made an
exception to my modified bedrest and tried to get to a
meeting before my babies' arrival. It's a casual
environment, usually 3-10 moms, some with their babies,
 some alone (and husbands/partners/MILs/caregivers are
welcome too!) where we go around and ask questions
whether it's what stroller to buy, or help! My baby
isn't sleeping at all! You'll get suggestions and
advice from other moms and can share from your
experiences too. My twins are 16 months (I survived and
definitely have some tips to share too).If you're at
the stage where getting out of the house is a
monumental task, know that there will be extra hands
there (at least me!) willing to help with a fussy baby,
help feed, etc. If you're running late, or need to head
out early, don't worry about it. We'd love to see you
and like I said, it was such a great experience for me
those first few months especially when everything was
new, to know there are many others going through
it/having just gone through it to offer advice.other
details: Meetings will be held at Calvary Presbyterian
Church at 2515 Fillmore Street (between Pacific and
Jackson). Enter the church to the right of the main
entrance with all the stairs, which has a ramp that
will lead to double doors. Enter and you'll see an
elevator straight ahead. Take the elevator to the 3rd
floor, exit and walk all the way back past the
bathrooms to the Nursery.Parking: There is 2-hour
street parking on neighboring streets and metered
parking on Fillmore. there is a parking garage (CPMC
garage) on Clay between Webster and Buchanan in case
you can't find parking elsewhere. It's a few blocks
 away but it's an option.

I haven't worked with her personally, but my friend has
and highly recommends her, and I've taken her bootcamp
classes and have found them to be great: Brighton
 Miller, Bright 1 Fitness.
 http://www.bright1fitness.com/In addition to regular
bootcamp and personal training, she teaches a Mommy
bootcamp, so she understands new mama bodies!

I've been working out with Greg Bianchi for over 2
years and love his style, proximity to my house, and it
works with my schedule. You can see me pregnant on the
membership section of his page. I continued working out
with him up until 30 weeks pregnant and returned 3
months post birth. He has been wonderful at modifying
exercise to match my ability and capability.
 http://www.bianchifitness.com/My friend is also a
trainer and personally transformed herself through
exercise and diet. I don't use her as I didn't want to
 mix "business" into our friendship.

When we flew with our 2 yos (2 adults, 2 seated kids,
so four seats) we opted to have all three seats on one
side of the aisle, and one seat on the other. I really
wanted to have one whole section where the kids could
move around and not bother anyone else. Your situation
is a little different because it's all adults sitting
down, not kids, but I think I'd probably still do the
same seating configuration. That way the kids could
look out the window and be contained, but still have
easy access to the aisle for trips up and down the
plane, and there would be a familiar face directly
across the aisle. (And maybe you could all rotate
having that seat and taking a break!)I've heard
arguments for all different seating arrangements, but I
really appreciated having a whole little section (row
of 3) that was just us, where we could spread out and
not interfere with anyone else. Good luck!

I worked as an attorney until 37 weeks, took one week
off and then delivered by scheduled c section at
38w/3days. Being on my feet was the hardest part of my
pregnancy. I usually took a nap on floor of my office
at lunch and tried to have a few other 15 min rest
periods at work. I could easily do desk work, but
traveling to meetings/depos was off the table late in
the game. There's no way i could have done a trial. I
also couldn't carry a lot so a rolling briefcase was
 essential. I am 5'5" and 130 pre-pregnancy and didn't
really get that huge. I honestly think I looked like a
normal pregnant person. My babies were about 5 and a
half pounds each when born. Hope that helps! Good luck!
