I wish I had some great advice for you, but no matter
what it will almost certainly be challenging! Is your
partner going to be gone for all four months straight?
Can they come home and visit occasionally on weekends?I
guess I'd say first, lower your standards. You just
have to get through it. If the evenings end in tears
sometimes, or you have to go more days than you'd like
without a bath, that's fine! I mean, you'll do great,
but don't focus on details.Second, maybe plan to have
friends come over once a week or something? It might
just help to have some adult company to look forward
to. I'm fairly social, and it helps me to know that
I'll be able to see friends/chat every now and then.
Maybe they can come over for a couple of hours after
the kids go to bed, or during the day on the weekend to
help you with an outing. Finally, is there anyone you
can ask for overnight help if you need it? Family?
Close friends? A regular sitter/nanny? If yes, maybe
you can plan for a night away at the halfway mark or
something. Also remember you can always get a
Wondersitter or use another service to get someone to
come play with the kids during the day. Either just to
give you a second set of hands, or so you can take a
nap during the day, in order to have more energy at
night. These are all just sort of random ideas. I've
never been on my own with the kids for more than a long
weekend, but I know a single mom of twins, and other
moms with husbands who travel a lot. So I know it can
 be done! Good luck!

The duffel bag stuffed in on top of the car seat is a
great idea! I have a follow-up question about
logistics. What is the recommended way to actually
navigate getting two car seats and a stroller from
point A to B? do I check the bagged car seats just off
the curb at the check-in desk and then roll the babies
to the gate in an umbrella stroller, then bag the
umbrella stroller and do a gate check with it? or do I
bring the old-timey snap-in frame stroller out and roll
the babies all the way to the gate in their carseats,
then bag all 3 items and gate check all three?
