 I have 3 week old b/g twins. We had slow start breast
 feeding, but it is starting...

 Congrats on the babies! I could have written this exact
 post myself - my guys are 5 and a half months now, and
 we're still breast feeding. At 3 weeks I was pumping
 after every other feeding - I wanted extra milk for
 bottles at night but didn't want to deal with all the
 hassle of pumping after every feeding. At about 8
 weeks (I think, it's a bit of a blur) I was just
 pumping 3 times, once after their evening feed and then
 after the first 2 feeds in the morning. I found those
 were the times I got the most.As far as sore nipples -
 I had the exact same problem at 3 weeks. There were 2
 days I was just crying at every feeding. Are you using
 lanolin? I used it religiously for the first 4-6 weeks
 and I think it made a huge difference. I also got those
 soothie gel packs (lansinoh makes them) and those were
 what got me through the rough patch. But it was only
 really bad for a day or two and once I started using
 the gel packs things got better quickly. It wasn't more
 than a week or so before I didn't need the gel packs
 and it only happened that one time - I think nipples
 just need to get used to the constant abuse, but they
 do toughen up! It gets better! You're doing great!
