Prepare for Panda-monium

It's finally time to welcome our adorable new red panda! The Zoo is thrilled to
welcome this species, which is native to the eastern Himalayas and western China
and faces the threat of severely reduced habitat due to human encroachment. This
new Treehouse Masters-designed exhibit will open to the public on May 10.
Be First to Meet "Tenzing"
Gates will open an hour early at 9 am on Saturday, May 10 for Members to tour the
Zoo before the general public from 9-10 am and get an up close introduction to the
newest Zoo resident, our red panda Tenzing. In addition to this private access,
Members can also enjoy the following offers and activities during that time:

which will open in the Pachyderm Building for Memorial Day Weekend, on May 24. Washed
Ashore is a project of The Artula Institute for Arts & Environmental Education,
whose mission is to provide opportunities to express and teach environmental issues
through the arts. Through spectacular, giant sea life sculptures made with debris
that has "washed ashore," this project creates awareness about marine debris and
plastic pollution and gives new meaning to the common plastic items we throw in
the garbage every day.

Members get first access to this latest exhibition on Saturday, May 24 from 9-10
am at this special Members' Morning.

Parents can play, explore, discover, and have a wild time alongside their children
on an Adaptation Adventure. Like a regular camp day, there will be a Zoo walk, crafts,
and games.
The event is free to attend but pre-registration and parental attendance are required.
