Youth Production of The Phantom Tollbooth on May 9

The Harvey Milk Center's Junior Acting Troupe, made up of 15 kids, ages 7-12, will
be performing The Phantom Tollbooth at Upper Noe Recreation Center on Friday, May
9, at 7:30 p.m. Free admission. Refreshments and raffle prizes. Upper Noe is located

San Francisco's favorite summer tradition, has announced its 77th Season of admission-free
concerts, Sundays at 2:00 p.m. from June 22 through August 24, 2014 at Sigmund Stern
Grove, located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco. The 2014 Season
features an eclectic array of world-class performers from the Bay Area and beyond.
This summer's 10-week concert series features SMOKEY ROBINSON and PATTI AUSTIN, 
RUFUS WAINWRIGHT, ALLEN STONE and YUNA, ANDREW BIRD AND THE HANDS OF GLORY, FUNKY
METERS, PUPY Y LOS QUE SON SON, DARLENE LOVE, THE ZOMBIES, SERGIO MENDES, and many
other diverse musical artists as well as the Festival's perennial classical partner,SAN
FRANCISCO SYMPHONY.
Each year, for over seven decades, Stern Grove Festival fulfills its long-standing
mission to make the arts accessible to all. The Festival presents a stellar series
of performing arts concerts in one of the country's most beautiful natural settings,
completely free of admission. As a cherished summer ritual, Stern Grove Festival
 presents a wide range of musical performances to 10,000 people every summer Sunday.
A distinctive aspect of The Festival's programming is to introduce local up-and-coming
artists and emerging talents from around the globe to a broad audience.

Volunteer for the City's Summer Jobs+  Youth Resource Fair on May 10

Do you want to support young people in reaching their full potential and help build
the next generation workforce? Mayor Ed Lee has challenged employers to put youth
to work this summer, and we are looking for volunteers to support this effort at
 the Youth Resource Fair on Saturday, May 10th!

The City of San Francisco, United Way of the Bay Area, The Department of Children,
Youth & Their Families, Office of Economic and Workforce Development, and San Francisco
Unified School District are hosting Summer Jobs+, a city-wide program to put 7,000
youth to work. The City of San Francisco has partnered with United Way's Match Bridge
and other nonprofits to provide young job seekers with resources such as work readiness
workshops, resume writing assistance, interview tips and job-search coaching.

Show Your Bike Some Love

San Francisco SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone), the SFPD's non-profit partner
in crime prevention and public safety, offers a free, voluntary bike registration
program to everyone who rides in the City. Mobile Rec at Tenderloin Rec Center This Saturday, May 10

Come out to our Mobile Rec event this Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at
Tenderloin Recreation Center (570 Ellis St.). We will have slack lining, disc golf,
skateboarding/ramps & BMX bikes on site. We will also provide safety equipment.
