1. Reminder: New and Expectant Parents Group Meeting
--------------------------------------------------------
lmcdowell - 4/27/2015 1:00 pm

Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each
month, from 1-2:30pm. Meetings are held at Calvary
Presbyterian Church at 2515 Fillmore Street (between
Pacific and Jackson). Enter the church to the right of
the main entrance with all the stairs, which has a ramp
that will lead to double doors. Enter and you'll see an
elevator straight ahead. Take the elevator to the 3rd
floor, exit and walk all the way back past the
bathrooms to the Nursery. Parking: There is 2-hour
street parking on neighboring streets and metered
parking on Fillmore (hit or miss, but I can usually
find a spot within 10 minutes). There is a parking
garage (CPMC garage) on Clay between Webster and
Buchanan in case you can't find parking elsewhere. It's
a few blocks away but it's an option. We welcome all
expecting and new parents with multiples under one year
of age. Come alone, with your partner, and/or your
babies. You may also bring the helping hands of
friends, nannies, and grandparents. Should you run out
of helping hands we have many more ready to help out.
The New and Expectant Parents Group is an ideal place
to gain invaluable twin parenting advice, an
opportunity to ask many questions, to see how other
parents cope with more than one baby, a place to laugh,
to cry, to rejoice, and to share proud and scary
moments in our step-by-step journey into parenthood of
multiples. You must be a member to attend regularly.
Prospective members may attend one meeting before
joining. You can contact the moderator at

Hello,We have done several international trips with our
twins. We always buy one extra seat and bring one car
seat. It makes your life so much easier. The airlines
will allow all four of you in the sane row if you do
this, but they do not allow 2 lap infants on the same
row. You can also try to get a bassinet seat, the
airplanes only have 4 of them so they can be hard to
get. If you can get one, you can seat one adult and
them the other adult and the child in the car seat
right behind.United is terrible, they don't even have
the lap infant seat belts....I hope this helps. Have a
 good trip.PilarSent from my iPhone

Hi there,We've flown with two car seats with our twins
a couple times now. The car seats are required to go
in the window seat (this was true for us on a couple
airlines I think it's so they don't block the
aisle). So if you're flying with two car seats and want
to be near each other, the best is sitting in front
of/behind each other in a square configuration. Re: The
oxygen masks. Apparently there are 4 in every row of 3
seats. That's why they won't allow two lap infants in
one row -- they're one oxygen mask short then. But if
you book all three seats, you're fine. I've found most
airlines to be really helpful when we travel with the
twins except United :)Hope that helps!-S

As those above have said, airlines won't allow two lap
babies in the same row because there wouldn't be enough
oxygen masks. Get the extra seat, and put the car seat
in it. Truly, you won't regret it, and then all of you
can be in the same row. It was nice being able to put
one baby down in the car seat for a while, when they
would sleep. Even if you can't book a whole row when
you ticket, the airlines will mostly move heaven and
earth to put you all in the same row once you get to
the airport. Even on United. :)

I'm happy to help as volunteer organizer though I'm
often gone for a week at the end of Sept so just
 depends on the date.
