Street Soccer USA Cup Coming to Civic Center August 15-16

Each summer, Street Soccer USA holds a weekend street soccer festival in the heart
of Civic Center to promote its mission of improving the lives of homeless and at-risk
youth through sports.

Three tournament divisions, One Goal... Soccer for Social Change.

Community Hotline in Place for Outside Lands Festival

Another Planet Entertainment and Superfly, in association with San Francisco Recreation
and Parks and the City and County of San Francisco, are producing the 8th Annual
 Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in Golden Gate Park (Polo Field, Hellman 
Hollow, Marx & Lindley Meadows), Friday, August 7th - Sunday, August 9th, 2015. 
This concert event helps benefit Golden Gate Park with a considerable portion of
 ticket sales going directly to Rec and Park.

Together, we are committed to mitigating the impact of the event in your neighborhood.

Driving on Sunshine campaign launched in San Francisco in April 2015. In collaboration
with the San Francisco Department of the Environment, Driving on Sunshine showcases

loop trail includes beautiful views of San Francisco's wetlands providing opportunities
to see nesting bird species and native plants. Meet in front of the Lake Merced 
Boathouse and let's get out & play!

Harvey Milk Photo Center Members Show Through August 20

Featuring images from over 30 members, volunteers and staff of the Harvey Milk Photo
Center!
Exhibition Dates: Now through August 20
Gallery Hours: Tues-Thurs, 4-9 p.m., Sat-Sun, 12-5 p.m.
Location: Harvey Milk Photo Center, 50 Scott Street

The purpose of this show is to showcase the community and inherent diversity of 
photographic interests among users of the HMPC, the largest public darkroom west
 of the  Mississippi. Photographs will be both film and digital based,  black-and-white
and color, many of which were printed in the darkroom or  digitally at the Harvey
Milk Photo Center facility. Photographs will be  available for purchase with 25%
 of all proceeds going towards the  installation of new lighting in the exhibit 
spaces at HMPC. Most of the  photographers will attend the opening reception.
