Greenagers Class of 2015 Graduates
District 8 Supervisor Scott Wiener and GM Phil Ginsburg were on hand at Heron's
Head Park on January 24 to celebrate the graduating class of 2015 Greenagers. Greenagers
is an eight-month youth leadership internship program of the Recreation and Park
Department and the Port of San Francisco that offers teens the opportunity to gain
valuable skills through park beautification projects, research, workshops and community
engagement activities. The program is supported by the SF Parks Alliance, PG&E,
APRI and the Port's EcoCenter at Heron's Head Park. Check out our Video of the

Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Company's "Fiddler" Begins January 30
The Recreation and Park Department's Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Company's
production of "Fiddler on the Roof" begins January 30 and runs through February
8. Set in the Pale of Imperial Russia in 1905 and is based on the story of Tevye
and His Daughters (or Tevye the Dairyman) by Sholem Aleichem, "Fiddler" centers
on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family
and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives.

Girls in Sports Extravaganza on January 31 Celebrates Girls and Women in Sports
Day
Girls Extravaganza! January 31, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Kezar Pavilion. This clinic
is designed for girls, ages 5-17, to learn new skills in basketball, volleyball,
golf, soccer, softball and tennis. Girls will be separated into age-appropriate
groups and will rotate through each sport, learning basic skills and having fun
while meeting coaches and making new friends. Due to a high level of interest,

Rec and Park Children's Art Exhibit Begins February 1
Do you like art? View a special exhibit of artwork created by children from Tenderloin
Children's Playground and Betty Ann Ong Recreation Center, February 1 through March

show highlights work taught by local artist Andrei Glase, who designs and teaches

Inclusion Week includes trained staff and staff fluent in ASL to help facilitate
participation of family members who have disabilities or are Deaf/hard of hearing.
Our Inclusion Staff will provide specialized activities as well. We invite you
to register for any week of camp but Inclusion Week activities and inclusiveness
benefit all families and offer opportunities for everyone to make new friends.
When registering, you will have an opportunity to indicate if you have a family
member who has a disability, or who is Deaf/hard of hearing. If you receive a
reservation, we'll contact you with more information.
