Hi Parents,I am a dad to g/b twins who are 4.5 months
old (they will be 5 months on 9/13). They were born at
36 weeks, so their adjusted age is 3.5 months. They
started sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago,
which we are extremely thankful for! They typically go
down around 6:30-7pm and wake up between 6-7am. I am
trying to get them on a good nap routine, but it
doesn't seem to be working too well. They eat when they
get up in the morning, and then we play for about 1.5-2
hrs and by then they are tired and ready for a nap
(around 8:30am). I am trying to get them to sleep 1.5-2
hrs, but our boy rarely sleeps longer than 45 min. Our
girl can go longer, but I know our boy is still tired.
I let him cry up to 15 min, but if he doesn't go to
sleep after that, I just get him up. We kind of go
about the day in a similar fashion of feeding and
playing for another 2 hrs and then a little nap. I try
my best to make sure their naps are in their cribs and
not on our walks or in the swing, etc. I would love to
get them to sleep 2 great naps, one in the morning and
one in the afternoon. Any tips or suggestions to
helping them get to that point? Everything I read says
that it "naturally" falls into place. Maybe I just need
to be more patient? Thanks!Keith
