Celebrate the Spirit of the Olympics
The Summer Games have kicked off in Rio and SF Zoo is joining in the fun by hosting its own “ZOOlympics (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=04963da7f0&e=7683a9aed3) ”! Throughout the Zoo, guests will find ten fun facts posted with information about the natural talents animal possess. Everyone is encouraged to learn about wildlife and test their own skills by participating in a physical activity to see how they measure up. Have fun and go for the gold!

Introduction to Zoo Crew
Saturday, August 13
SF Zoo is calling all 11-14-year-olds with a passion for restoring local habitat in San Francisco while representing the Zoo. Join us for Zoo Crew orientation on Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 am to learn more about our popular volunteer program. Wild Cat Weekend
August 13-14
Join us for a celebratory weekend featuring our amazing big cats! See the tigers, lions, snow leopards, fishing cats and bobcat interact with special enrichment during Wild Cat Weekend (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=97fd01a6d4&e=7683a9aed3) . We're adding extra Keeper Talks throughout the weekend to share information about conservation and how you can help these incredible, endangered species. Guests are encouraged to get into the spirit by having their faces painted like a feline and participating in a "roaring" contest!

Get Ready for Our NEW Exhibit
OPENING Friday, August 19!

SF Zoo has a brand new exhibit opening soon, featuring Coquerel's sifaka! If you like lemurs, you're going to love sifaka. These animals move in a unique way that's often described as jumping or dancing.  The newly-constructed exhibit is an extension of the Lipman Family Lemur Forest (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=6672f300b7&e=7683a9aed3) and includes a Baobab tree climbing structure along with other plants native to Madagascar. Wolf Canyon - Now Open!

Mexican gray wolves (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=71b5c827a6&e=7683a9aed3) are HERE! Come visit our three wolf brothers in their large, newly refurbished and technologically advanced habitat! Learn the wolf conservation story and how the Zoo is helping grow the population of the most endangered wolf subspecies.

Wild Walks
One-hour walks on the wild side are a fantastic way to explore the Zoo on the weekend! Nature Trail
Take a walk along Nature Trail (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=634565e42e&e=7683a9aed3) and interact with more than a dozen small animals while learning conservation stories and fun facts from student volunteers. Come see how we've revamped our groundbreaking educational exhibit for the 40th anniversary! Located in the Exploration Zone, Nature Trail is open daily in the summer.

Family BikeAbout
Pedal with your pals and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zoo before it open to the public on Saturday, August 20 from 8:30-10:00 am. Participants bring their own bicycles for an informative, docent-led cycling tour. Zoo admission for the day is included in the registration price.
